 I think so too. But right now it would just be embarrassing for Pavlik. He's a B- fighter at best and a class below Bute.

I'm not a Sports Nutritionist, nor have I worked in this field with World Class Athlete's. However, upon losing to Sergio Martinez, Pavlik & his coach stated he needs to move up in weight, that making 160lbs was taking a very bad toll on Kelly's body. That's not me or anyone else stating that, its the fighter & his trainer! From when they state he needs to move up, he needs to move up!

Pavlik may indeed be lighter atm at this point in camp than he has in some years, but fact is, he should NOT be boxing at 160lbs, its an un-natural weight for him, & the logner he continues to do so, one of two things will happen:

    1. He will fail to make the weight at some stage.
    2. He will damage himself so much that he will be beaten by a lesser fighter!

When Bute was 29 years old, his manager turned down a fight with Kessler saying, "Lucian is not ready for such a high caliber of opponent."

At age 29, guys. Bute is another Felix Sturm. "Champions". Paper.

When Carl Froch was 30. His manager turn down a fight against Lucian Bute. Froch fought Bute's leftover instead (Sergey Tatevosyan).

People turn down fights all the time.

If Top Rank or Cameron Dunkin sent Interbox an offer to fight at 166, the counter offer should read:

"The super middleweight limit is 168 pounds, so **** OFF!"

Pavlik is totally irrelevant. He would be utterly outclassed by Bute.

Bute would kill pavlik. Just look at the two guys who put it on pavlik and you can see that bute has the physical tools from head to feet to duplicate the same thing. 1-2 stalkers have been exposed all over and there will be no difference if they fight. With bute's power it will most likely be a mid to late KO.

Pavlik needs to stay away from anyone who has the physical tools to get at angles and dart in. I don't know when people will realize this. Pavlik's trainer doesn't know what to do against it. Even the small Sergio was able to use the same angle darting in gameplan and pavlik looked like he never learned anything from the hopkins beating.
