By your reasoning (above, and elsewhere), Douglas was greater than Tyson ?

Yet you have Douglas at 31 and Tyson at 9.

I think your basic problem is that you confuse alltime greatness by resume and accomplishment, with head-to-head greatness, as in who do you think would prevail in a hypothetical fight (or who actually won, if they did indeed meet).


And even taking your list with YOUT criteria, its still problematic to say the least.

Aside from the ACTUAL Tyson-Douglas bout that runs counter to your criteria,
your list points to a lot of hypothetical results that defy most observers' judgment.

Charles or Walcott beating any of Bowe, Frazier, Lewis, Vitali ?

And Rocky being picked over the rest of the list ?

Either Klitschko (Wlad doesn't seem to have nmade your top 36), Foreman, Ali, Louis, Lewis ?

(And I'm a fan of Rocky).

 

I see some of you guys argued for pages about the merits of Bowe above Holyfield.

As much as I disagree with almost everything Rockysplitnose has said, I don't actually think Bowe above Holyfield is as indefensible as is made out.

I think Tyson above Holyfield is actually worse, but doesn't stop many here having Tyson that high - and above fighters like Joe Frazier too !

Bowe is underrated compared to his peers Holyfield, Lewis, Tyson.
