HBO interested in Haye vs Adamek

I'd like to see this. I don't mind if he doesn't fight the Klitschko's yet if he makes this fight. Or Povetkin would be good. Nothing else is acceptable.

 

After he sends Audley out of the ring on a stetcher I think that Adamek would be a good opponent next.

I think he wants another fight at HW before he takes on a Klitschko, as he needs the experience at HW, and he wants to build the public interest in the fight by waiting longer for it.

 

Not a fight I would like to see. Adamek is one of the most boring fighters today, IMO. Haye would pulverise him and stop him late. Adamek is so slow and plodding, perfect for Haye, but not a fight that would catch my imagination, even though he has an undefeated record.

 

No offence, but this is one of the worst posts I have seen on here.

I think Haye will fight Chaguev next. It's his mandatory, it'll be like Ruiz all over again. "I'm gonna take out my mandatory and then fight a Klitschko", rinse, cycle and repeat.

 

Chagaev won't get licensed in the UK with his Hep B.

I like Haye-Adamek, a lot of people wanted it for November instead of Audley. I wouldn't mind if Haye fights Adamek in February or March and then taking on a Klit in May/June.

What? Adamek's a damn good boxer - he's been a little less aggressive at HW, but his fight with Steve Cunningham was fantastic!

He's not. He's very average.

 

And his 2 fights against Briggs, his fight against Grant was decent and he somehow made a Johnathon Banks fight decent. I'm not particularly a fan of his, but he's an entertaining fighter.

Unfortunatley for Adamek , his piddly 10'000 and the PPV non relevance of a Haye vs Adamek fight in the States , should point to a UK venue .

The fact HBO are interested may sway him , but i dont see it , depends what GB's take on it is i suppose , do they take a chance that the UK PPV numbers in addition to the gate and the US PPV numbers outweigh a huge gate and good solid PPV numbers in the UK ???

I for one wouldnt be getting a hard on for this being stateside :deal

 

HBO would still show it on tape delay. they would just pay a 1/4 of the price. When you add the extra ppv's Haye gets from having it primetime, plus the 20,000 in an arena, the fight makes sense in the UK

 

I don't know if you've noticed, but it's been years since HBO aired a fight on tape delay. The ratings were horrible, in part because the hardcore fans just stream it live anyway. I doubt they'll do it again any time soon.

But yeah, it still might make more sense to have it in the UK. Ticket prices tend to be higher in the US though.
