There was a time when amatuer boxing at the Olympics use to be part of the big attractions, now it's just thrown in with things like badminton, shooting, diving etc.

Because, with the current scoring system, you could hoy stephen hawking in with a shell like defence and he'd probably win gold...on countback.

Are you joking? For the women means for the womens boxing. Which will be an event in 2012.

I still don't think it's worth that money for the worst seat in the house at an amateur boxing show

I could think of a few professional shows which were bigger i.e.

    Hatton Events
    Naz Events
    Calzaghe Events
    Lewis Events

You won't get the casual Boxing fans paying 95 quid for a seat at an Amateur Boxing event, Olympics or not.

Me thinks they are playing on the current success of British Amateur Boxing and trying to re-coup some of the Olympic budget by charging these high prices for all the sports.

Bigger than Olympic Gold medal matches thats could involves 3-4 British fighters, some of them from London. No chance mate Olympics Gold is still bigger than Undisputed titles in the eyes of the public. How do you think Audley Harrison, coming of losses to taxi drivers gets a World title fight>

Is every event really going to be a total sell out?

It might be best to wait.
