If that is true is just another way out of a fight by making someone a bull**** offer that they knew he wouldnt accept and rightfully so cause even though Winky wasnt a draw and has never been Floyd himself wasnt close to the draw he is today and certainly didnt deserve to get 70% of the purse.

As it comes back to me, it was never a 70/30 split in favor of Floyd it broke down because Shaw stated they had a 50/50 deal & Arum stated he didn't agree to that & it was 55/45! Dead Deal because Wright(again)stated he was taking nothing less than 50/50! Winky lost a cpl fights over money because he always felt lowballed including the Delahoya fight where he could of made almost $10-12mil after PPV buys but again he said no!!
Shaw also stated he believed Floyd was not behind any of the break down and put all blame on Arum!!

...seemed like a 50-50 had been agreed to but Floyd told his messenger that now, he wants 55-45.

"While Shaw said he agreed with just about all of the demands from the Mayweather team, principally regarding weight, he doesn't think the Detroit fighter, aformer Olympian, was behind the breakdown."

"I think it's Arum," Shaw said. "When Floyd normally calls someone out, he's serious about fighting them."

But I did say these talks went away about as fast as they started. the whole Floyf/Winky thing didn't last but MAYBE a week.

The site where Boxing Talks doesnt have a search archive(maybe u have to be a member), that's where I read the original story! Anyway it doesn't matter, I got a quote from the ppl involved not from my dislike of either fighter! :deal :good

and check this out... seemed like Floyd wanted a rehydration clause on the contract. Winky can't gain more than 8 pounds above 154.
