Didnt need to. Joe was 37 and at the end. People would have said the same about Dawson as they do Lacy. But if Hopkins beats Pascal it looks all the better, and if not Joe beat Kessler, who beat Froch, who beat Pascal, who beat Dawson.. Like I said, all wins come back to Joe
Toney was a CW before Joe even won his first world title atsch. Consider Jones & Toney were at HW around the time Joe fought B MItchell. It wasnt of interest, and Joe wasnt on the radar at that time (understandably) Hopkins wouldnt fight Joe. Everyone knows this, Joe offered to go to America and Hopkins was offered a massive pay day, but turned it down to fight Hakkar for much less money. Joe beat Hopkins sandwiched between Hopkins best wins . Hopkins knew he wouldnt win and took the fight when he had all the advantages like making someone fight at a new weight and still lost
:nono Boxing doesnt work like that. Hopkins has been shot for years, its only his craftiness that has kept him from getting beaten and knocked out.
Hopkins was shot when P4P #3 and Ring LHW champ when Joe beat him atsch scoring his best wins over Tarver, Wright and Pavlik . So your not looking forward to Hopkins fight with Pascal then and obviously werent one of the ones who wanted Hopkins to have a return with Joe then. Would you consider this even older version of Hopkins shot if he beats Pascal who beat Dawson?
Ward will eclipse Calzaghe's legacy. If he beats Abraham, Froch, Dirrell and Bute that ****s Calzaghe's legacy in the ass.
Exactly. Joe was the champ and man of the duivision, but still when Joe said he would go to America, Hopkins backed out
Dude are you implying that hopkins was prime when he beat those three fighters? Pascal is overated he really is. Calzaghe knew he lost that fight hence why there was no rematch.
No The key to Calzaghe's legacy was Kessler, and since his career is practically over without accomplishing much Calzaghe's legacy grows weaker.
Big money and big fights are held in USA period. Also their purses would have been significantly higher due to bidders from casinos etc.
Of course he wont atsch. Kessler is considered a better fighter than those guys and Joe beat the undefeated version of him who beat Froch, who beat Dirrell who beat AA. Still. Abraham is a former MW champ whos big win is who? And has limited SMW resume. Froch beaten by Kessler Dirrell KOd by AA and beaten by Froch and hasnt even achieved as much as Veit or Mkertchyan even Bute well if you look at his resume its arguable that Lacys resume with Vanderpool, Tyspko, Reid, Sheika, Pemberton, Manfredo is possibly better. But that list dosent compare to Eubank bigger name and more accomplished than the above Kessler (undefeated champ) Lacy (undefeated champ) B Mitchell (2 time WBA champ and never clearly beaten until he met Joe) who has done more at SMW than AA, Dirrell and is arguable to Froch Reid done more at SMW than AA, Dirrell. Reid was considered desperately unlucky against Ottke arguably the 2nd best SMW ever Woodhall done more at SMW than AA & Dirrell Not to forget all the other fighters he beat Veit done more at SMW than Dirrell or AA Mkertchyan done more at SMW than Dirrell or AA Brewer Sheika Manfredo Bika Starie 46-0 Ring WBO 21 defences, WBC WBA IBF takes some doing
