This fantasy fight is 2002 Tyson [5 years past-Prime] VS 1988 Holmes [6 years past-Prime]. So Old Tyson who got Destroyed by Old Lewis is against teh Old Homer who got Destroyed by Prime Tyson. How do you see it going??

    Tyson 2002, 234lbs

My guess is Tyson KO6 Holmes.
Old Homer would be too slow for teh Fast And Powerful Tyson And Tyson would land a right-hook Haymaker [Holmes Weakness] And drops him in round 1, Old Homer gets up - But Tyson drops him with another right-hook Haymaker in round 6 And Holmes stays down, cos he was hurt bad lots in teh other 4 rounds inbetween also.

Il go with Holmes in this one
The reason why Tyson was so succesful against Larry was because of his movement and explosive punches.
A 2002 Tyson didnt possess the ring patience and generalship to cut the ring as effectively as the 80s tyson did. And 2002 Tysons speed was greatly reduced compared to the 80s one

Holmes would easily weather any storms Tyson would come forth with, and use that Jab to a convincing UD

The 1988 Holmes was very rusty Holmes - So I would probably say Tyson

A 1992 Holmes after a series of warm up fights would have beaten a 2002 Tyson and probably a 1996 Tyson.

Tyson by KO. Then again, I'm a die hard Tyson fan so take that into consideration.

88 Holmes was still a bit rusty. I think Tyson could still kayo him at some point.

    Truth :thumbsup

Holmes didnt train at all, he just came in at his 38 year old man walk-around weight And he didnt even spar at all either. Tyson looked good when he beat-up the v.good contender Nielsen in 2001.

+Agreed 1992 Holmes might beat 1996 Tyson - as 1992 Holmes was way, way better, faster, stronger than 1988 Holmes And he gave Peak Holyfield a v.good fight - But Prime Tyson got Destroyed by Old Holyfeild.

    good post :thumbsup

1988 Holmes was v.rusty, 2002 Tyson was active [fought in 2001], fast And eXplosive And trained hard to bulk-up so he not too-small for Lennox..

Tyson in 2001 looked v.good - BUT Old Lewis made him into a Pizza-Face.
