I signed up for that. I was at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 and it was an amazing experience - I would recommend to everyone to try and get over to see some of the events in London 2012. I caught some of the Boxing in Sydney and even bumped into Evander Holyfield.

It was relatively easy to get tickets during the event, you dont have to have your tickets before the Olympics, there were ticket booths placed around Sydney and you could buy a ticket during the week of the events - obviously the final tickets are more difficult and have longer queues.

Other good spectator sports surprisingly were table tennis, fencing and weight lifting - I didnt think I would particularly enjoying watching fencing for the first time but it was actually a very good spectator sport and the the medal ceremonies were great too. But, an evening inside the main stadium is fantastic.

One other thing to consider if you have the time and accomodation in London is to be a volunteer (or gamesmaker) - you will see all walks of life volunteer to be part of the Olympics - it a great way to experience the event.

Obviously my main interest would be the boxing but Id like to see some athletics or swimming also. 725£ for the final of the mens 100metres seems very steep for less than 10 seconds though. Also the 50£ tickets listed for the boxing finals are only for the female sessions. The mens finals start at 95£

Sheehan and Lindberg followed up on their wins over Denmark and Finland on Thursday with victories over Estonia and Morocco this afternoon.
Joyce, of the St Michael Athy BC, was 7-0 ahead in the second round of his clash with Juri Janisso of Estonia when the lightweight clash was stopped.

Geraghty, from the Corinthians BC in Dublin, was equally as impressive, a 10-2 verdict over David Agaian of Finland booking his passage into the medal rounds.

That pricing is scandalous. Honestly I'm sure it's great and all but those prices are ****ing mental. £395 for top tickets to the finals?

I'd want free blowjobs from the Swedish Volleyball team for that money nevermind a seat at a fight.
