    I think people are underestimating Adamek's drawing power over here.

    There are plenty of Poles working at a place where my mate works..... was out with a few of them a couple of weeks back and they were talking about Adamek vs Haye and that they'd love it to be here.

    Bearing in mind the inner city areas in most places are full of Poles you could put the fight on pretty much anywhere and sell out - the MEN or the o2 are the obvious candidates..... especially if there are a few nationalistic matchups on the undercard.

    Hopefully we won't see a repeat of the Bowe/Golota riot :hey

    The most HBO would pay for the fight is £1.5million. Thats the equivalent of 300,000 PPV buys on Sky, and Haye would lose more than that amount if the fight was in the US.

    4am = £1.5mil HBO + £1.5mil Sky PPV (300K buys) = £3mil
    10pm = £300K HBO + £3.0mil Sky PPV (600k buys) = £3.3mil
    2am = £1mil HBO + £2.25mil Sky PPV (450k buys) = £3.25mil

    when you add in European broadcast rights, 20,000 in a UK Arena, UK sponsorship there better off having the fight at UK primetime.

    Rob, stop making these figures up from thin air. HBO will pay silly amounts for lesser fights than this - like Dawson-Tarver II - especially with GBP on-board.

    Also, your assumptions about the PPVs are just that: assumptions.

    They are paying $2.2million for Bradley vs Alexander. A unification between two american fighters that have been on HBO before. $2.2million is about £1.5million. You think HBO will pay more for Haye vs Adameck than Alexander vs Bradley???

    Well it's all speculation at this point, but you're assuming HBO would be willing to pay to televise it purely as one nights entertainment, which might get a good rating, might not. Perhaps they're only interested if it goes towards building the winner in America and hopefully getting a ppv out of the heavweight division again down the line. Then again perhaps this is all make beleive.

    HW boxing almost always gets more money than lighter weights. All I'm saying Rob, is that you're speculating.

    Have we factored in the hotdog sales at the MEN against the burger sales in Chicago?

    Haye is interested in making money in heavyweight boxing not fighting the best in the division. It's embarassing.

    Obviously there's Poles over here, but how many are interested in boxing? You have to remember that boxing is still a niché sport over here. There's no guarentee that thousands of Poles would turn up over here to support Adamek like they would in the US.

    It pisses me off aswell when he plucks all this **** out as if he has sources and isn't just making it off most of the time. They pay $1.2 million for Berto's fight with Hernandez, yet for a top heavyweight clash with a popular HBO fighter in Adamek and a usually exciting heavyweight and world champion in Haye in what should be a very good fight, only $300k more?

    I think Adamek would have massive support from the Poles over here. I remember being on Youtube the day after Adameks fight with Gunn or Banks (can't remember which), and highlights from the Adamek fight were the most popular video across all of Youbube for the UK.

    I really think Haye-Adamek would do massive business over here.

    I like David, he is exciting, but the only fight I really want to see him in, is with K. Bros.
