Manny obviously the better names, but I won't jump to conclusions that fast. Sweet Pea's best wins were over fighters in their primes with the exception of Nelson. Nelson's best weight was 126, but with his success at 135 he was still a dangerous puncher at 31-32. I think Sweet Pea's biggest wins were over Chavez, who wasn't as good at 147 as he was 135, but to be fair neither was Whitaker who was also a natural 135lber, but Sweet Pea like Pacquiao did handle his weight better. A win over Chavez is better than anyone on Pacquiao's resume. So yes, Manny has the better wins, but Sweet Pea still have the higher quality. Chavez was an unstoppable juggernaut at 135, but at 147 he was still a force, alot like Nelson also was at 135 being a 126lber. People really got to look into the details in these comparisons.
If the judges gave the fight to Whitaker over a prime De la hoya and undefeated Chavez, he'll have way way better resumes then Pacquiao. But at this moment just by wins Pac resumes is better but it don't mean he's better then Whitaker. Prime Whitaker would embarrass Pacquiao. <<Any true boxing fan would agree with me if they watch most of Whitaker prime fights.
I just wanna ask you something you said that Pea's best wins were over fighters in their primes. Which are Pea's best wins that you are referring to?
Joshua Clottey Ricky Hatton Oscar De La Hoya Miguel Cotto Dvid Diaz Marco Antonio Barrera x2 Erik Morales x2 Oscar Larios Juan Manuel Marquez Chatchai Sasakul it's a good resume, but that surely doesn't qualify for a top 20 ranking. Sorry. You also got to consider where Oscar was at in his career when Manny fought him. Oscar was 2 months shy of 36 and fought at 145 pounds. A weight he hasn't got down to in over 8 years. Ledwaba, Solis, Julio and Velazquez don't qualify for good wins. These four fighters pretty much don't have any quality wins on their resume.
Exactly, Pacquaio is a natural brawler, and Whitaker would make him miss at will, while countering him....Wide UD...
Hatton sucked, Cotto was shot, Barrera was shot, Morales was shot, David Diaz sucks, De La Hoya was shot, Clottey is a B level scrub, Marquez was the only one not shot or crappy and he went life and death twice.
Whitaker fought prime oppostion. It's a shame people are ***** riding PAc in every way to no end lol... !@!@#$!@# baby boomers grand kids lol...
Show us your resume and compare it to this guy's. :hey [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bert_Sugar[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Lx_DH7mOno[/ame]
lmao you are using Bert Sugar as a reference. No one likes Bert Sugar. Look by Manny's resume he is not top 20 "YET" Can he possibly get there? For sure he can, probably in the top 15 if he gets three more good wins. Right now he's in my top 30. If he gets a win over Margarito he then goes up a few spots to around top 25. Do you agree Ledwaba, Solis, Julio and Velazquez shouldn't be considered good wins PHILLA? Pacquaio, Holyfield, Whitaker and Jones are hard to separate for me. But if Manny gets two more good wins he clearly pulls ahead of all three.
