He certainly squashed the talk of his output diminishing and his overall game slowing.

Briggs even made a point to commented on Vitali's hand speed, which I thought was very impressive, especially for such a big guy.

I am interested in what Sdunek does to increase Vitali's KO power after stating he was not happy with it in the Briggs fight

He mentioned not being happy with Vitali's stance, so I assume he intends to not rely entirely on the armpunching and start Vitali working on using his full body into it shots, as he used to.

Regarding his strength..............maybe we'll see a more develeped Vitali in the future, as well, as he seems to be on a quest to start drop everyone from here on out. You know with each decision win, this *best KO percetage in history* is diminished, so I think he'll try his damndest to put everyone out, from this point til he reitires.

WAR VITALI!! No more decisions....all KOs

had to do with Vitali crossing his feet and slightly lifting his body on the right hand power punches...thus he didnt get the hip movement and all the power. Vitali wasnt "sitting down" on his punches.... didnt really hit the "button" on shannon.... shannon would turn his head

In my opinion, Vitali leaning and twisting into his shots, and using the legs, as well, would make him an absolutely devastating puncher, given his physical strength and leverage, being 6 foot 7 plus.

Any physical strength increase plans in the works, or just technique?

well we only had a 4 week camp. needed a little more muscle... but mostly technique. Vitali needs the right technique or he ends up arm punching. When vitali sits on his punches and uses his legs and rotates... he has all the power in the world:good

it was all the talk of the team in the locker room after the fight... media was kept out and all of us were in going over every round of the fight. Vitali was upset he didnt KO Briggs and wanted answers right away... so thats how I know what the issues were... no twisting and legs power into the punches... needed better footwork... its something Vitali said he will work on very hard for the next fight

Thanks for the info. As you said, a bit more muscle would be beneficial, but too much starts to be a hinderance. Great to hear they are aware of his armpunching, and will work to bring back the *full bore* punching...........Let's hope it don't offset his output volume and accuracy. Even though Briggs didn't fall, Vitali did put on a clinic that day, as most will agree. If he can stay that effective, active, and increase his powerpunching...............he's gonna be even more dominating.

I hope we see the return of Vitali's Herbie Hide power. :bbb

These days Vitali is slower, stiffer, and is pushing his punches more then anything, they are basically heavy heavy arm punches.

This is true but Vitali is too old to learn it. He could“nt do it in the past, he will not in the future. Time to retire and let his brother unify.

Vitali“s power was overrated. He makes arm punches since his career, he outworked opponents but Vital never had the one-punch-power Wladimir has.

Wladimir changes his trainer in 2004, with Emanuel Wladimir learned how to punch quick with more snap, better footwork and so on.

Vitali is the best heavyweight in the world today and I see the Sour Grapes here all the time because of all the jealousy.
