some of you seem to underrated konecnky. nobody seen his narrow defeat to excellent WBO 154 champ dzinziruk?

i would not call konecny simplistic. his style was so subtle vs hall, and it was a beautiful beating he handed out. if the czech was so limited, how did he get so many good shots on dzinziruk? dzinziruk, a southpaw with one of the best jabs in the business.

rhodes hits harder than dzinziruk, is more awkward and is naturally bigger. but ryan can be very one paced, doesn't throw many shots (though makes up for them in power) and i think he might gas in a long, drawn out fight.

this would be a really good fight.

i agree, i don't think rhodes can control him for all 12 lucas is not a great hitter but throws an unending supply of them, a far from easy fight for anyone, thats my take on konecny.;)

on the other hand, how likely is this fight to happen?

rhodes has just vacated the belt, after all (though possibly to save the FW mag 7 show, and he probably is at the top of the rankings for another shot at the title).

    Konecny wins this.

Rhodes is dogshite like all but a few British boxers and has fought a whole load of fighters with increbibly padded records, even managing to lose rounds to them. Did he really look like a technical fighter against Moore?

Lukas is a class above Rhodes, you are a clown if you cannot see this.

I'd love to see Rhodes deal with Konecy, I'd think it would make for a great fight.

Who knows? Rhodes-Konecy could be Rhodes-Moore II :yep It all depends on what the World Title situation is for Ryan at the moment. Hes obviously been shafted by the WBC and isn't getting a shot at that anytime soon.

Everyone would want a piece of Bundrage so I don't know how easy that is to make, he'll probably be fed to Kirkland next year. What other options has Rhodes got?

Rhodes would win this easily if he boxed in his natural style, not the toe to toe macho display he put on against Moore.

Matthew Hall made Konecny look good, as Matthew Hall is basically a smaller, less durable, less skilled version of Konecny.

How on earth is Konecny going to beat anybody with a good jab, ring generalship and footwork? He hardly moves his damn feet, he'd get outboxed all night by a quality outfighter, don't be fooled by that. Even Dzinziruk stood infront of him far too much at times, but still had the extra class.

Hall did test him anyway? It was nip and tuck for a while. It always felt like Konencny was slightly the stronger and doing the classier work but it was very competetive.

Until Hall fell apart in the middle, as he has done a few times now.

You think Rhodes still has the legs to box his 'natural style' against Konecy for 12 rounds? I think he'll have to revert to a Moore-type performance as age has caught up with him a bit.

i don't know about him being robbed, but he gave dzinziruk a very close fight. that fight is a classic. it's hard to say who deserved it, as the TV broadcast was incomplete, inevitably showing dzinziruk's best rounds/moments.

i hope konecny fights another brit. maybe even sam webb, if not ryan rhodes. the big question is, does rhodes have anything better lined up (i.e. world title fight)? would be good if a promoter could make rhodes-konecny as another WBC elim (and a final elim at that).
