Probably seeing as it's an old bumped thread, bumped due to a article written just a couple of hours ago about a fresh/new Vitali call out of Haye.

I purposely didn't start a new thread on the topic.

50/50 is very fair. Probably more so than taking TV money from their own regions, because its very difficult to pin down exactly how much more the event is making due to the opponent.

However, these details really don't mean **** because anyone with an ounce of sense knows what Haye is doing here. He's waiting until he's got all the money/fame he wants out of the sport before taking on what he knows is a significant risk. People ain't gonna like it having to be patient but it will happen eventually.

one thing that annoys me is that Vitali says a 50/50 of world rights when as he has a multi fight deal with German TV. Haye will get barely nothing for that, however the UK ppv deal that Haye has with Sky will actually earn close to everything else put together... obviously if it sells big which it will.

I just want to see the fight happen but Klitschko is trying to make it look like it is all down to haye.

No you are wrong as Klitschko earns nothing extra due to his opponent anyway due to a multi fight deal. He agreed to that prior to talks with Haye and Haye will get practically nothing from Germany whereas Vitalli has earnt lots for mostly fighting poor opposition.

Haye has earnt what he will get from Sky as he has been on about every chat show going, got his on mag out and has made himself a massive name in the UK. Yes more people will buy due to it being against Klitscho but ask for a 33/66 cut of UK ppv as he has already got big money from Germany. Then split the rest 50/50.

klits multi fight deal runs out when wlad fights derick dosent it ? so im assuming unless he sighns another one that the fight can got to bids between rival networks in germany meaning a bigger figure to split

Ok..... Well if that is true my argument gets thrown out the water... but also Haye's does too so he may have been waiting for this.

Lets say he did "duck/aviod" for the time being
Seems like with good reason to me - He is in control of things now and able to pick when the fight happens and can make them wait for him
He make more money when their TV contact expires
Vitali may retire and give his belt to Wald
He gets a big payday or two
He gets more experience at HW

Some make out Haye is a coward or a liar for ducking - i hope he is just being smart

He is in control now only because he is the one who won't agree to the fight which isn't really control at all when you think about it because both Klitschkos can just say **** it, we tried to make the fight happen numerous times but Haye didn't want it, and move on. Neither of them "need" Haye as some people would like to believe, they are proven champions who have not much to gain legacy wise by beating a jumped up former cruiserweight with delusions of his own worth and ability who talked his way into a title shot using their name.
What if Vitali decides to retire before Haye is "ready"? Or if Wlad gets injured or even beaten? It's not as if Haye can just click his fingers when he wants the fight and everything will just magically fall into place and if these fights do not happen it will tarnish Haye's reputation not the Klitschko's.
