    Depends on genetics, most people wouldn't go that far. There are some quality body weight exercises such as chin ups, dips.

    There is no reason to be alive if you can't do deadlifts.

    You've got the burden of proof since you refuted his claim...not the other way around.

    There are methods and techniques about, that make using weights redundent. Honest, its true, but for simplicity and for those who dont want to think carry on using them. :hi:

    If you make a claim you have to have proof. Refuting a claim requires proof but not if the initial claim has no proof itself. That's like a christian saying god exists and the atheist has to prove he doesn't even though there's no proof god exists in the first place.

    Well, if you are very light these exercises are comparitively much much easier and less of a workout. I use weights because I feel like it takes too too long for body weight exercises to really increase my strength - here is a video from a while ago of bodyweight exercises I used to do a lot.

    The surface area to volume of muscles makes a smaller muscle a more efficient one in terms of required oxygen. Thus a muscle twice as big is many times less oxygen efficient than a smaller muscle.

    This is simple physics

    force = mass X acceleration

    Acceleration = explosiveness

    force = mass X explosiveness

    You can achieve explosiveness with or without weights.

    sure. Everybody has mass and some have more some less explosiveness, but the secret is how to activate your whole mass into the punch. Its all done with Technique.

    There are things body weight exercises can do, that weight training cannot do.

    And there are things weight training can do, that bodyweight exercises cannot do.

    That's why some people can bench over 150kg, but struggle at doing 100 push ups straight off.

    Why separate 'bodyweight training' and 'weight training', as if you can only do one or the other?

    It's like the cardio debate. Long slow vs high intensity intervals..

    It's all good. Just do it all, and vary the mix according to your goals. :hi:

    my goal hmm
    i weight 65kg (not much) and i am 1,80 i want to gain more muscles beacuse
    i am a freak pushuper but push ups are good , unfornautely if you train with push ups 2 years you are not gaining bigger muscles, my arms not bigger anymore.you lift 70% of your body and your muscles are not growing up beacuse
    u need something more.I do pull ups and you lift 90% or even more of your weight.I dont want to lose my queickness my punches are really fast.
    i have read if you do more than 12 pull ups you should add some weights..
    i m on my way to reach 50 pull ups ?(with special training program)
    is that good? i train with pull ups 2 months and i gained bigger muscles (back muscles, chest size) but my forearm and biceps still the same. just ripped better.

    btw:joe frazier etc they did not touch weights. just bodyweight exercises, i like them but i have dillema about adding weights .

    waiting for your answer
