Except that IF he gets by Fraudley, then he has to deal with (or hide behind) his mandatory, Ruslan Chagaev. A fight we can be pretty sure won't even come off unless it's held in Germany, which Haye wouldn't dare do. Anyway he'll use the time to hold onto his paper title some more.

 

Yeah, even a twit like Haye must realize that he can't be pulling the wool on even the Brits for too long, as many have already turned their back on him. If he's not going to fight the Klits, at least act like a god damn title holder and 1. fight more than once a year 2. fight with the top available opponents. Fights like Audley-Haye and other mismatches of this type should not be allowed to take place. A huge problem in this division is top guys avoiding one another. An easy solution to this problem would be a requirement whereby anyone who wants to face the champ must have at least 2 or 3 wins over top 10 opposition in the last 2 years.

It's come to the bizarre situation where it needs more than that.
We need to have a clause where fighters who refuse to fight fighters with a similar or higher ranking then their own should be immediately dropped 20 places, and forfeit their last winnings. Mandatories who refuse to fight the champ should be stripped of mandatory status forever.

Basically anyone who is not willing to try to get to the top of the heap must be shoved to the bottom and punished financially. If it is arranged so that only those who are legitimately trying to become top dog can earn big dollars then we might see more real fights!
