So there have been numerous stores of the death of boxing.
That MMA is King etc etc...

Well we see faded heavy weights who cant
win in boxing go to MMA. Some succeed some don't. But we haven't seen any MMA champs go fight Boxing champs in a boxing match.

Nor have we seen an MMA champ get 20 mil
Hell how much do they make a year combined?
    How many have degree's?

Though MMA ring girls are allot hotter than boxing ring girls.
Guess that is to make up for the male on male ...

I like MMA a little, but to me boxing is more refined and the longer history shows that it last because of the fact that it is a science.

I respect MMA, it's still fighting .... but overall, the foundation of my belief of why BOxing is better than MMA... comes down to the fact that I believe an Honorable Way to fight, is standing Toe to Toe. For example, if I see a street fight, and one dude just tackles the other guy and chokes him out, that's ****ing gay. If that dude were to duck a punch and then knock the guy out... now that's how you should fight.

Yes... I respect the athletes of MMA, but sometimes it just looks gay.

To me MMA is glorified street fighting, sure you're learning more techniques but you have mastered NOTHING.

Boxing v MMA is like comparing the 100m sprint to the Decathlon.

MMA guys are excellent all round fighters, and I've utter respect for them. However when the fight goes to ground, I find it a little boring and hard to understand exactly what is happening.

I train in boxing and brazilian jiu jitsui, I am more of a boxing fan and don't even watch alot of MMA.. but the ground game is something you need some first hand experience in to understand and appreciate while watching, it's actually very technical, intelligent and efficient in real combat situations (i'm pretty sure they teach simplified BJJ in the millitary nowadays).

    MMA is an animal's sport.

Boxing is for the intellectual gentleman!

Does James Toney have Brain Damage?

Do the Posters of ESB have Brain Damage?

I think you will find that we are highly refined intellectuals that study boxing because it is a noble art that stimulates the mind.
