I believe you're preaching to the choir. If you are going to bring up another boxing vs MMA thread, it needs to have some logical argument behind it where we can actually discuss it. For no reason a selection of ring girls: Boxing This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected UFC This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected ok discuss (Don't worry I understand if your typing speed is impaired by the use of one hand)
Put it this way MMA fighters can pick up the sport at 25 - 26 years old and become a world champion. In boxing you have to have years of experience to even get to a regional level. With four ounce gloves on boxing would become the most exciting (for some) sport in the world as fights wouldnt last a round. Poor technique in MMA allows striking to become exciting. Put brock lesner in a ring with 10 oz gloves on , get him to box anyone in the top 10 and he doesnt last 3 rounds. Infact I would be surprised if he got out of the first round, and he would need a lot of holding to do that. MMA is for the uneducated rednecks who think MMA fighters are real. Please , dont make me laugh.
i'm a boxing fan first, but like mma too...and this is one of the most moronic things i have ever read on ESB
I fell into the same trap But on a serious note, ring girls haven't always been a part of boxing - they were introduced during the 70s at the casinos....so perhaps if this man was around during the 50s he really could have a been a ring person
Sorry timmy have I hit a raw nerve with the redneck business , appologies, now go and play your six finger rifts on your banjo and have sex with your sister. MMA should not be discussed on here period.
Keep Preachin', brother, but have no fear. Us educated fans on the ESB General Forum will always frown on such a distasteful and uncouth "sport".
I watch MMA but will never defect to it as it is full of alot of knob heads who are only in the sport because they think they are tough, especially in the UFC. You saw it on the last episode of Ultimate Fighter, when that asian guy was doing some running and a number of dickheads who were watching started ragging on him for it. Apparently they are so tough they don't need to run or work on their stamina. Most of them will get signed by the UFC. Anyone with that mentality in boxing won't last a second. There is much less professionalism in MMA.
you didn't hit a nerve...i live in asia and work a white-collar job...was born on the east coast in america, hardly a redneck...but your comments actually sound like you are the uneducated one oh...and here's one for ya: This content is protected
So here we have another thread by a boxing fan which criticises MMA for having no class, which then quickly descends into a discussion by these 'classy' boxing fans about Ring Girls and street fights.... I bet you guys thing ironic is something your Mother uses to get the creases out of your clothes
