I meet jones about 8 years ago at a basketball game in Kansas that he was playing in. It was kinda cool because most of the people there didnt know who he was. My son who was about 7 said "Hey isnt that Roy Jones" I said no, well maybe, it is. Two things jumped out about him, 1) he was very soft spoken and polite. 2) he was really small. I guess seeing him on TV all those years made him appear bigger then he really is. I did get a chance to ask him a few questions, and I asked him some really stupid ones. Like where do you like to train, and how many miles a day do you run during training. I didnt really want to ask him tough stuff because you dont know how he would react. cool day took my boys picture with him.

RJJ is a Legend, ATG and Gentleman. I would never have been such a huge boxing fan if not for him. Great you got to meet him.

Roy should have told the truth and said Tarver is just the better fighter at 175 and would always be a bad matchup for him. It wasn't about the weight loss. Tarver has the style and the intelligence to handle Roy and he did it twice.

If he were the Roy Jones Jr who beat Ruiz he would easily defeat Haye. This Roy Jones Jr does not have the legs or chin.
