How could Vitali Klitschko ever be rated over a true champion like rocky marciano? you think Rocky Marciano would ever quit on his stool vs Chris Byrd? LMAO

I like your list but I'd leave out Riddick Bowe, I think both Klitschkos have passed him on any serious list. Gene Tunney & Ezzard Charles are both debateable.

Excellent idea, rate the fighter by their lowest moment. :-( Should we rank Tyson according to his loss against Kevin McBride? Should Dempsey only be ranked on his losses to Tunney? Should Joe Louis be scored lower due to his KO loss to Schmeling? Should Lennox be ranked according to his KO losses to Rahman & McCall?

    Ali
    Louis
    Holmes
    Lewis
    Marciano
    Frazier
    Foreman
    Liston
    Dempsey
    Tyson
    Holyfield
    Johnson

There's a dozen off the top of my head. The Klitschko's are two excellent fighters who have dominated a very weak era. They would be higher in a H2H list but you're asking about fighters who achieved more? Please.

theres a difference between getting ktfo and quitting.

    fact.

it shows his lack of heart when things arent going his way him getting frustrated and needing to be patient and grit his teeth to pull hrough.

he would need every biut of grit to get him past the elite heavyweights

I highly doubt that Witherspoon, Berbick, etc. would have a serious chance against either Klitschko. :yep

...........and for Heaven's sake, take Bowe off your list! :rofl

Here let me help some of you:

Tyson should be ranked higher because he was the youngest

Holyfield should be ranked higher because he beat Tyson twice, & for longivity as well as his Cruiserweight accomplishments

Joe Louis should be ranked higher because of his amazing number of defenses and sheer domination

it's impossible to judge, the competition the klit brothers face just arnt good enough these days. their era is such a bad era for heavyweights. we see the brothers knocking out overweight brawlers or past prime contenders. and thats no disrespect to them they can only fight whos out their, but if you put any of the fighters listed in this thread so far against todays heavyweights i think they would dominate just as the klit brothers have. the only true heavyweight out their for the brothers is haye! lets get real everyone else is a bum!!

Dozens of fighters have fought al the way through torn shoulders dislocated shoulders whatever. even domesti and journeymen.

like i said he has not got the heart to get through these obstacles that would encounter him in the ring (elite greats).

If Wladimir can continue to dominate his opposition (I doubt it.) , he might have a case ones his career is over.
I don’t believe Vitali can make in to any serious top-10 (based on achievements) list if he doesn’t dominate something like four more years.

If both of them remain active and dominate same time, the fact that neither will ever be The Champion will lower their rankings.

No, he shouldn't. Age means nothing in boxing - Sure, it's unusual, but it doesn't make a fighters achievements any better if he reaches his physical, predetermined peak at age 20, 25 or 40. It doesn't matter. Everyone is different.

Tyson should be ranked ahead of them simply because he was a much, much better fighter than either Klitschko.
