what test the 14 day window or the osdt up to the fight? it was never clarified plus if it was the test floyd wanted, their team was smart to pick up a right time with all of floyd's troubles starting with roger's case. It was all made to make them look good and you and the other blind clowns are falling for it real bad:verysad

What else are we meant to base it off? Margarito is not the same Margarito that walked through walls to beat Cotto. We're talking about a Margarito who pretty much didn't land a shot on Mosley before being knocked out (close enough)...and a Margarito who has spent a year away from the sport, and came back looking a lot worse.

I don't want to take away from Pacquiao's (future) win in anyway, but the only reason you and others are claiming Margarito has a chance is because, in my opinion, you want to make it look like a better win for Pacquiao than it actually is.

Precisely. That was some good ole fashion Bob Arum PR right there. "I gave in to all of Floyd's demands ". Really? 60 /40 money split and random testing all the way to the fight. Please *******s . For a guy who doesn't mind getting tested its funny how he wasn't drug tested his last fight(TDLR which doesn't require drug tests from mma and boxing )and he won't get tested this fight.

I've been posting here for almost 7 years man and I've always felt the same way. I've always said you can't judge a guy on only his last 1 or 2 fights because fighters don't always perform at the same level. I've always said that a fighter is not shot after 1 KO loss. I've always said that tune-ups are important.

When Margarito got destroyed by Mosley, he looked terrible. Mosley put in an amazing performance which didn't help. Going by what his manager says, Margo lost 39 pounds in 7 weeks and was in the worst pre-training camp shape of his entire career. Then he was suspended, had a long ass layoff, and took a tuneup at a higher weight-class.

You can say "just excuses", but I believe in excuses when they are true. I think that alot of things can affect a fighter's performance on fight night. I do not believe that fighters are always at their best every time they fight.

I see no reason Margo cannot get back into the type of form that he was when he beat Cotto. Maybe he's getting a little bit older, maybe Garcia isn't able to push him as hard as Capetillo was. Maybe his chin is no longer what it used to be but Pac isn't the heaviest hitter anyways . But his stamina, his power, his relentlessness, his workrate, all that can come back to what it was.

Just my way of seeing things. Even if it wasn't Pac, I would say that. I've never believed that "fighting someone coming off a loss means he is not good anymore" on the contrary I think fighters learn from their losses and are at their best when they have something to prove.

It doesn't just apply to Pac. I thought Floyd faced a version of Judah who was as good as ever, even though Judah had just lost to a journeyman

If ever I said anything about a fighter not being good because he's coming off a loss, it's probably cause I was using some ******'s logic against himself.

and when it comes to Pac, I expect him to beat Margo anyways. I think Margo in top form is a tough opponent for anyone. I'd pick Margo over Berto, Clottey, Cintron, Angulo, and most of the 147/154 lb fighters.

its all "business" for roach and arum, do you really think they give a sh*t on who pacquiao fights as long as they win and cash in money? that's why i never really give credit to pacman other than the marquez fights and if he beats marg.

:huh Dude....this is almost incomprehensible. Really...if you have a point, try to be clear and concise. It's almost as if you just take random moments on boxing, and try to mixing them into others...

I only have one question after reading that BS. Where's your boy Floyd? Of course, you're gonna blame Manny for that. GTFO here.

Good Post Daryll, its sad that we can't discuss the issue as grown men, I mean the last two posts in the thread to this point are Lance with "Uhhhh I don't get it, what do you mean...Uhhhh", and some nobody with "Where is Floyd at"...like ****ing seriously? I mean you read the mans post and this is what you come with? Either way good post dude, it's a valid point and worthy of discussion.

 Because it's all over the place, has no direction, and it's completley convoluted. There's no structure here. Go get a dictionary Smart man, I'll wait :good
And of course you think it's brilliant...you floyd fanatics seem to stick by one another no matter what. Kinda like you do to your women beating hero. YOu probably wouldn't care if Floyd raped your momma...

You see the reply to this one? Another with nothing to contribute to the thread... Arguments can always be made for each side, it's just sad that 90% of the posters on one side refuse to do this about boxing. But agreed good post Darryl!
