    Can anyone tell me why some rate Maidana so highly? I've always thought he was incredibly crude.

    Nobody can seriously rate him highly based on skill or ring craft, or even physically.

    I think its more of a case of the following logic: Maidana = powerful, Khan = glass chin = KO loss.

    Khan was "ducking" him, if he's this fearsome beast it gave more ammunition to the argument so it suited people to rate him.

    Don't worry though, as soon as Khan beats him the same people will be calling Maidana a crude, one-dimensional slugger.

    You think? Ortiz hit him with some very good shots to get him down. And Maidana got up and finished the fight looking alright.

    Has he been knocked in other fights?

    he beat the well touted american ortiz , beat cayo and struggled like **** against a shot to bits old man in corley

    oh and it suits there anti khan mentality , i think khan is one of the boxers that suffers most from the terrible attitude some people on here have , to many on here have a mentality were theyll decide they dont like someone and wont let it go even when defeat on the matter is staring them in the face

    Khan will win every minute of every round, Maidana is way too pedestrian to catch him. Khan's superior speed and movement will keep him out of trouble and he will pepper Maidana all night at will either forcing the ref to wave it off or his corner to pull him out.

    Dont get me wrong, with the chin Khan has he is likely to see the canvas again in his career and he is likey to be stopped again sometime - it just wont be by Maidana.
