I’ve not seen anyone on ESB condemning the actually stoppage. It was a horrendous cut, and the ref had no choice but to stop it. But this doesn’t deflect the fact that Klitschko was giving Lewis trouble, and that the cut he suffered forced a premature conclusion to the fight. A rematch was a must. There’s no wrong in labelling that fight as ‘unfinished business’.

Just watched the fight. If it wasn't stopped Klit would have knocked Lewis out.

I meant the luck was an appearing of the cut - not making it that huge. Tho, i remember there was certain nasty 'towel guy' who used his weapon against Vitali and dig out all the flesh from Vitalis cut - man, that was disgusting.

    Lesson learned.
You can grow muscle and bone in a steroid vat, but you cannot change that toilet tissue thin skin. Jab, snap, twist...cut. :yep

But there were 2 cuts which signifies that Lewis' ability the land right hands were a key factor in these 2 cuts appearing. Had Vitali been less open to the right hand he may not have been cut.

Unless you are saying Lewis was freakishly lucky not once but twice in one fight and that of all the right hands he landed 2 were somehow lucky while all the others were not which is improbable to say the least.

Rlly, i thought there was one bloody spot on Vits face, dunno if it contained of 2 cuts or one. Never seen before such a mess on boxers face thats why i think it could be kinda lucky. I would admit that it wasnt luck if it happened too in their potential rematch.

Most likely the same would NOT have happened in the rematch.

Most rematches do not turn out the same way as the first fight.

  8. i dont know what ****ing fight you idiots were watching but lewis was clearly and unequivocally winning that fight. i watched it not too long ago and he was way ahead. was he getting tired? sure, but so was viatli. vitali was breathing through his mouth from the second round on. stop acting like vitali won, could have won or was winning. that doesnt reflect reality.

Absolutely. Scorecards don't mean a thing when you're getting the **** kicked out of you. Besides which the judges had it wrong, it was 3-3 at the time of stoppage....could easily have been scored 4-2 to Lewis if they were looking for meaningful punches landed.

It doesn't matter anyway, VITLAY got tore up like wet tissue, Lewis TKO6 :smoke

    This.

Vitali was on wobbly legs & desperately clinging on to Lewis for support at the end of the 6th.
Vitali also seemed the most fatigued of the two.

Oh & I gave Lewis every round from the 3rd onwards.

My scorecard was rounds 1-4 Vitali although round 3-4 were close as Lennox was landing some monster shots and Vitali bacame a bit tired and was throwing mainly arm punches. Lennox a clear winner in rounds 5 and especially 6 when Vitali was clinging on like **** to a blanket to survive. Don't know what this joker 'Bad Dog' is on about... If anyone was getting stopped in the 7th it was the guy that had just taken a beating for 2 rounds. Vitali had a very good start to the fight and Lennox was well out of sorts but by the 3rd the fight started to swing and by the end of the 6th not only was Vitalis face a mess but he was in trouble of being dropped

Look at the way Lewis collapsed in total exhaustion back into his seat after the last round - he was utterly spent

It was a case of what would fall first - Lennox Lewis or Vitali's eye

As it stands we're destined never to know for it a mystery forever and ever more

    Amen

Look at the way Vitali is using Lennox as a leaning post for a majority of the last round to stop himself from falling
