Why is it stupid? Vitali has been hurt early before, Tyson had a clear speed advantage here and is technically skilled enough to time Vitali and within range. Vitali's range control is excellent - against the opposition he's been facing. A prime Tyson is a vast step-up from who he's been facing thus far. And even as a Lewis fan, a prime Tyson is far detatched from the version Lewis beat. And Lewis is a level about Vitali as it is.

VITLAY also has the distinction of making Chris Byrd look like Mike Tyson in the last 2 rounds of their fight.

It was shortly after that fight that Byrd was pronounced a boxing god on here, if memory serves me right. Also don't forget Lewis ducked Byrd, apparently :nut

Posts like this are what I'm talking about. Both brothers in one night :rofl  I'm sure some idiot already said "Tyson would beat both at the same with the first 2 punches he threw" :rofl

No great stretch to say that, Tyson V WALDO would be Tyson V Savarese all over again.

You know someone has an educated opinion when they are able to bargain with it.

Do people really think Tyson can get away with his hands down like this against a prime Tyson? In the centre of the ring?

He has the luxury of being able to fight like that because the likes of Briggs and Arreola stand in the centre of the ring with him and let him tee off and land his punches. I'm not sure I saw Briggs or Arreola move there head once in those fights.

Do the likes of RUSKULL really believe that Vitali will be able to time a prime, bobbing & weaving Tyson when he struggled to time Juan Carlos Gomez early doors?

He was blowing in that fight with Briggs when he started sitting down on his punches aswell. He backed off Briggs at one point when he was on the Briggs with his mouth hanging open gasping for air.

Why do fights with Briggs, Arreola, and Carlos Gomez get brought up? We are talking about prime Vitali ya? Nobody respectable is talking about Tyson of the Brian Nielson or Lewis fights.... so why are people bringing up Vitalis end career fights as if it pertains to how he would perform at his best in his prime?

? How does Vitali being tired against Briggs have **** all to do with this? Vitali is a 40 year old man at this point just about.... we really going to be holding his performences at this stage and relaying how he did and using it in a 'prime vs prime' discussion?

So James "Bonecrusher" Smith, James Tillis, Mitch Green & Tony Tucker are all better than Vitali Klitschko? Those guys all went the distance with Iron Mike yet Vitali gets smoked in the first 1-4 rounds?

Puff, puff, pass dude....................:rasta You must be smokin' the good ****.

The current version of Vitali is not "prime," the prime version KO'd Kirk Johnson, Sanders & Williams back to back.

Vitali leans in that way with his hands down on purpose to goad his opponents into throwing punches that he can counter off of. If you didn't know that much already I can't help you. Tyson is actually tailor made for Vitali. VK's accuracy might not be as pronounced since Tyson had that great head movement, but VK throws enough punches to discourage Mike & take him out late.

    Tyson KO 5-7

Vitali doesn't have the movement or uppercut to keep a guy like prime Mike off him significantly. His cross and jab would definitely help him against Iron Mike, but if we're talking 85-89 Tyson with good head movement he can overcome that. And if you let a prime mike tee off on you enough you will fall, regardless as to how good your chin is.
