One thing for sure is that the filipinos love making fun of others. The more disabled, disfigured, dark you are the more they enjoy it.

The funny thing is a person 1cm taller seems to think everyone is pandak.

They love to make fun of everybody.

Most of the time, I feel it comes from a not so mean place, though.

Well this is the problems, they mind other people business too much those pintaseros.

You have pintaseros who would make fun of the nextdoor neighbors car, then one day they have to drive with a lesser car. But these people would rather walk than be seen in a shitty car or otherwise they make sure no one see them just incase they get the pintas. Strange people and I have met quite alot of them.

You meet them, first thing they would ask is how much you earn? are you educated? just so they can make themselves feel better. When they found out you seems to be better off, they just walk away

 

Does that bad personal experience mean most of the people in the whole country acts exactly like that too?

Jealousy and douchey behaviour and bad neighbors can be seen in every country.

Humans can be assholes. It's not a Filipino monopoly.

 

Before going on this trip of mine, I thought the the Philippines and the world was just basically my town, my family and the people I know, and the places I regularly go to.

Once you go around long enough and experience more of the "world" outside of your own personal world, you begin to discover little things and have a bit better understanding of all the stuff around us.

 

Nah not saying every one are like that but I have met alot of them who always seems to notice the negative things and must say it in order to complete their day.

...and the corruptions in the country lol I dont know if thats a culture or what.

I know there are some bad eggs out here, and I can't deny that, but I sincerely feel that overall, most Filipinos are pretty good people.
