Personally, making fun of somebody just because he looks or acts different, I still classify as racism.

It's bad behaviour, it's rude, it's not good, but not technically racist.

Discriminatory is probably a more accurate word.

Like discriminating against the bald, the ugly, the fat, the short, the gay, the lesbo, etc.

But not violent and hateful, though. Have not seen it personally.

In my town, I've never personally seen someone actually hate a foreigner just because he's a foreigner, and treated as lower than the locals. That's classic racism. He's teased sometimes, though. Especially if already an acquaintance.

If one can make fun of others because they act/look different then there is nothing stoping them from making fun of the other race.

Because other race amost always look/act different from you specially when they are FOB. Some pinoy make fun of FOBs even if they are from the same country.

Some of the racist remarks I remember from foreigners I meet.

A Japanese friend who said he believe in evolution because he said native africans look like monkeys.

A white american in an international standardization meeting banquet party near our table who shouted "there are too many asians here, soon they are taking over the world"

A friend from Myanmar who said he hates it when he need go to an american state with lots of black people (Atlanta that time).

An indonesian friend who refers to black people the n word as if its a dictionary word. He's like "you know the n***** in the movie **** what is his name again?"

It technically becomes racist when words such as "negro" "baluga" "bumbay" etc. are used.
