Sure is. I was just reading up what Miguel Diaz (Maidana's trainer) was saying in this http://www.examiner.com/boxing-in-l...es-off-with-freddie-roach-khan-maidana-bout-1 I was shocked at how he has a good insight on what Khan is/has and what will come down on the night. Looks like there is no underestimating on either side and will make for a quality fight.
Hyped, hyped, HYPED for this one!! Can't believe it's actually going down... knock on wood all goes ok.
I'm rooting for Maidana cuz I got a thing for aggressive pressure fighters (no homo) However, after listening to the "On The Ropes" interview with Khan the other day, I sure don't get the hate he draws.
NO ONE does. The so called people who dislike him blame it on him being arrogant, cocky. When it comes to other British fighters, it's fine. Race is also one part of it. People will now jump on me saying I bring this up but it's true. We don't live in a racism-free world. Every Khan-Prescott video will back up what I say. He's a great guy. I've met him on many occasions.
I have to be honest that I'm a racist, but I don't think that is the reason why I hate Khan. I don't like him because he seems like a dick head. In my book only twats send their naked photographs to girls, so that's red flag number one right there. And the remaining red flags flare up every time he talks about how great he is, how he slaps Pac around in the gym sometimes, how he's gonna take British fans to Vegas like Hatton did. Even if you are beating Pacquiao like an erection when you guys spar, you don't say it. Maybe I'm just old school, but that is just disrespect if you ask me and I don't like it. And the chasm between what he has thus far achieved and the amount of smack that he talks (I want Mayweather, I'm the ****ing man, haters gonna hate on success, etc)... It just turns me off and makes me crave a reality check for him. He's a great fighter, and for his age he is in a brilliant spot. And hell, I'm jealous of him. But, and I would like to think that I am being objective when I say this: the more I watch the Paulie fight, the less impressive he looks. But then again that is irrelevant to my original point, which is that he just thinks too highly of himself, when you look at what he has really achieved.
anyways, may the best man win. I dont have a rooting interest, just glad these two are facing off and hope its a good fight. :good
