I couldn't disagree more with both choices, sorry.

Why would you want Oscar as a southpaw? You're talking away that great lead hand of his. He had a brilliant jab with it, a great left hook and so much variation. As a southpaw, he might have a more powerful straight, that's it. I'd much rather he have a brilliant jab and a cultured lead hand which he did, no contest.

Khan doesn't need to fight in a slickster style, in fact he's better off more textbook as he is because he might have a chin problem to hide behind a tighter guard. Also, his jab is good enough, his reach is long enough and his hands are quick enough for him to as if not more successful in his current style than as a slickster.

Michael Moorer. He had all the tools to have been one of the greatest light heavyweights and heavyweights of the last 50 years imo, but with Teddy I think he lost a lot of confidence and didnt fully believe in himself. If he had a trainer that kept him more positive, he would have have been a more dominant champion imo.

But ODLH was also more predictable and a less balanced fighter overall as a result. Frazier was similar, Donaire suffers from the same problem as well.

Pavlik is an obvious choice. He's decent enough as it is at mid-range or he wouldn't really be where he was, the losses to Hopkins and Martinez are specifically because those fighters were able to keep it from getting into a mid-range firefight.

He is strong enough and powerful enough and big enough to be able to cope on the inside, but he lacks the no-how on how to fight there. And if he'd been taught how to use his jab properly rather than being told to 'double it up' all the time, if he'd been talk some proper footwork, range control and sharpened his timing, he'd be competent enough on the outside and he'd be a problem for anybody.

If he'd learnt to defend himself with anything other than his face, we have a quality operator on our hands. Obviously that's a lot of changes, but a lot of reasonable ones because he's got the physical tools, dedication and heart to make those changes.

He'd be far more unbalanced if he had a weaker lead-hand. There's no telling how bad his lead hand might have been in comparison to his left-lead as an orthodox fighter. His right hand wasn't that bad anyway.

Cotto, Judah, Arreola, Williams, Pavlik, Angulo, and Anthony Peterson could use some tweaking. Peterson has the goods, but has to learn when to respect an opponents power and box instead of going toe to toe when he doesn't have to. Dawson needs to be abit more active and go after an opponent when he has him hurt instead of going to a decision. I think he has a good chance of beating Pascal in the rematch.

IMO ronnie shields or dan birmingham would have been great for coto but he needed more of a psychologist than a trainer, and manny steward is a great one at that, he becomes friends with his fighters and gets to know them properly.

ya that's why he's been trying to fight southpaw recently(poorly) and why his left hook is so cash
