I have more respect now for Sugar Ray Leonard after what Mayweather has been doing.

An inactive Leonard moved up to fight a scary bigger champion.

What is Haye waiting for? The K boys to turn 40?

Hate is subconscious admiration. Notice the best active fighters have the most haters?

Haters don't realize they only add to a fighter's greatness.

I dont think Chucky was saying he "hates" mayweather..just that he has more respect for the way leonard did things....if you dont feel that way...fine..but its odd.

and really..hate isnt subconscious admiration....i hate a guy who rapes a whole kindergarden...trust me, i dont admire him.

People hate Ben Rothelisberger. They do not admire him. His **** accusations do not add to his greatness. Haters do not add to ones' greatness, they just usually show up to hate someone great (not relating to Rothelisberger, he is not "great").

You aren't very bright if you can't understand the basic correlation between exposure, number of fans, and number of haters.

When I say hate, I'm talking about in terms of sports context. Not talking about criminals, just boxers here who fight hard and win and are awarded with disrespect for their efforts.

That's very elementary. In the Klits case there is the factor of being non-American. Lennox Lewis got the same treatment here. In Floyd's case, it's more his attitude that is hated than his game. I've watched boxing since Leonard-Hearns I when I was 9. I know my fair share of boxing.

Yup, thats why ive gained mad respect for Cotto and Maravilla. They dont talk alot because theyre fighting does the talking. Most modern day fighters only make calculated moves which is fine by me since boxing is a business but these fighters shouldnt expect to be respected or liked.
