2 guys who can box but just can't resist a good brawl. Tremendous heart, Arturo has the edge in power and chin imo.

Corrales by KO, by virtue of being the much better figher. And Gatti a bigger puncher then Corrales? **** outta here! Ask Angel Manfredy which one hits harder.

I'd say Corrales definitely hits harder, but Gatti has the chin advantage. Gatti could likely outbox Corrales, but I doubt he would resort to that. I see Corrales drawing Gatti into a brawl and winning that battle.

Corrales was a superior fighter to Gatti.

    Corrales by KO.

    Corrales busts Gatti up.

Gatti might start off well with some boxing, but as soon as Chico started landing (probably with the straight right), Gatti would go to war. And Gatti loved to wing hooks while Corrales threw shorter, crisper shots which traveled much less distance. Chico would mostly beat Gatti to the punch due to his shots not being so wide, and ultimately stop a bloody/swollen Gatti.

Gatti isn't on the same level as Corrales. Not even close. You would have to hate Arturo to want to see him in the same ring at the same time as Diego Corrales.

I think too many people are selling Gatti short here. I'm not saying he would win, but it would be more competitive than everyone thinks. Corrales was also a sucker for the left hook.....

Corrales was definitely the physically bigger guy, and harder puncher, but I think it stays close until around 9-10 round where the size and power of Corrales would take over.

Then again, Oscar did say Gatti had the heaviest shots he ever took.

It wouldn't be competitive lol.. I like Gatti as much as the next guy, but let's get real here. Manfredy beat Gatti because he's just a better fighter, and Manfredy was totally outclassed v. Corrales. Angel Manfredy didn't belong in the same ring with Diego, he was a tuneup. Gatti would be worse.

Gatti's chin gets him thru the first two rounds... maybe.

Re Oscar, I think Arturo landed ONE good shot the whole fight. The rest of the time he was just getting a vicious beating from Oscar. To think that Arturo hit ODLH harder than Tito or Shane did, or for that matter Yori Boy Campos' left hook is kinda comical.

Arturo was a very strong volume puncher at 130...He attempted to be more of a boxer puncher when he went up and old mate Buddy started training him.

He sweeps a few early rounds with his workrate and aggression...then he gets brutally molested by Chico.

Chico doesnt easily dispatch of him like people are trying to say...but he does get him out of there eventually. Chico took a little while to overcome inferior fighters to Arturo and its just plain insanity to suggest he somehow just massacres a bloke with the ticker and proven beard of Gatti.

It would be an exciting fight. Both guys take their shots and possibly both go down, but I'll take Corrales in this one.

Gatti couldnt outbox Corrales. Chico had better skills then Gatti. This would be a one sided ass whuppin. Gatti wasnt in Chico's league.
