.....and Lewis was walking straight through them landing the better shots, that's why he won the round. what's your point?

    Well said.

Cut TKO stoppage is not the most popular result for a fight. But it's just part of the game. Cutting easily is a weakness just like having a weak chin is. Sure, sometimes a KO due to a big punch or a TKO due to cuts is a fluke but what can you do?

A rematch would have been nice for sure but you can't expect those in today's boxing world when the fighters have enough cash stored away.

    Correct.

Hanging on for dear life after a right to the body and head on the inside which ended up with him hugging Lewis all the way to the opposite corner, where Lewis broke free and attempted an onslaught before landing another hard upper cut right on the bell, Vitali started well but Lewis at times could be a slow starter (see Briggs fight etc)

We'll never know what would have happened, but to judge it becasue Vitali won a couple early rds is silly, the way the fight was going as it ended there was more chance of a Lewis win than Vitali win, he won anyway.

I always thought Lewis would win a rematch too, and prime for prime he is a level above.

Lewis was about to knock him the **** out, and this really shouldn't be debated, because it's plenty obvious. Vitali put up a hell of a fight, no doubt, but he was just about done cut or no cuts.

I think a Lewis KO is unanimous by all except for the the fanatical Klit sister girlfriends. Some of us watch the momentum of the fight while Klit girlfriends had their eyes closed so as not to view all that blood spurting from Vitali's face.

I just rewatched the fight yet again, and I see the same thing. By the end of the 6th Vit can barely stand up on his own, he's clinging to Lewis like a drowning man clinging to a life preserver. He can't throw punches. He very much looks to me like he's about to find someplace to lay down and go to sleep.

I like Vit, he's the best heavyweight alive today, better than his brother, but you have to consider the facts. Even if you're a Vit fanboy to the end and you refuse to acknowledge that he was gonna lose that fight, that was still an older version of Lewis who took the fight on two weeks notice and was totally out of shape, but still was able to do what he did with Vitali. What happens if Vit was facing a prepared Lewis?

cute picture, but not much in the way of a reply. Especially since you can go to youtube any time of the day or night and verify what I just said for yourself.

For that reason I will not discuss this much further with a biased clown like yourself. It's clear in everyones mind Vitali was not quitting that night, so to even imply that he was looking for a place to lay down and go to sleep is outright laughable.

Then you go on to state the real facts, being that Lewis took the fight on short notice, but how about Vitali, that does not apply to him does it?

    You're a pathetic apologist.

It's obvious you weren't even following boxing as that fight took place.

I didn't say he was going to quit. I said he was going to get KTFO. Big difference.

Son, I cried when Ali lost his title. I actually listened to 'Black Superman' when I was a kid. You better stick to your boy bands and leave boxing to the menfolks.

Lewis was fat and old and still diced Vitali's mug up and was making a good account of his old fat self.

If Vitali goes out for round 7, he gets brain damage. What punches would he see coming? What would he see when the fight was over? He may have been blinded, as well.
