Got to go Hagler but one thing i would say . Eubank was a guy who fought at his opponents level the better the opponent the better he fought .
Eubank would be stopped eventually. I can't see him win, and he would take a lot of punches. I've never seen a prime Eubank stopped (I don't think he ever even lost in his prime) but I think Hagler could do it.
Hagler wins however this fight goes down. Eubank walks in, he gets tagged, he tries to dance, he gets walked down and beat up. I don't see it being close in any way. Hagler doesn't stop him but Eubank looks like he got hit with a bat multiple times at the end of the fight.
Similar to a prime v prime Calzaghe-RJJ matchup. Both are tremendous fighters at 168 but Jones was sublime in that weight range. Hagler is just too good for Eubank, despite a game effort.
Eubank would hold his own but he would be outclassed by the marvelous one in an entertaining fight, he would lasts the distance though dont see him getting stopped like others have said in this thread.
Its easy to say Hagler and yeah thats probably right, but Hagler wouldnt be all bad for Eubanks. Eubanks didnt have a great jag and so foght well against fighters who brought the attack and came into the pocket. He was strong, good ring smarts, worked his opponant out and yeah, great chin. Probably Hagler but not one sided.
When will people learn that Eubank doesnt have an 'S' at the end of his name?:-( I pick Hagler by comfortable points victory (im a fan of Eubank btw).
