I'm sorry to burst your bubble but no way does Haye beat Vitali..............that's downright laughable. Haye's footwork & agility.......... Anyway, that wasn't "prime" Vitali against Lennox either, you could say Lennox brought Vitali into his prime. Let me explain: Vitali fought Lennox in a phone booth for most of that fight & that's not the way he fights anymore. He uses range now & he leans forward with his hands lowered to get his opponents to throw punches he can counter off of. He didn't fight Lewis that way at all and he wouldn't fight Haye that way either, he doesn't have to. That would play into Haye's strengths and both Klitschkos are masters at making the opposition fight their pace & distance.
1. Timing - Watch the early rounds of the Gomez fight. He doesn't hit Gomez with a right hand - even though he throws tonnes - until a minute left in round 2. 2. Blowing when sitting down on punches - Hell, watch the Briggs fight even, let alone others. He sits down on his punches more, Briggs numerous times is on the ropes or open, Vitali drops his hands even lower, steps back and his mouth is hanging open grabbing air. There's one point where he literally breaths in as hard as he can twice to desperate grab air. 3. Panicing about getting hit - How you can't see this is beyond me. His eyes light up like a rabbit in the headlights, watch the Sanders fight for example when he gets caught with that left hand and literally runs away back in straight lines. That is what happens when you dont' have a clear head. Watch round 1 of the Gomez fight even where he backs up in straight lines and gets caught with lead left-hands. 4. Telegraphing punches - Again, Gomez fight is a great example of this. Watch his wild, sweeping right hands that Gomez slips again and again and again because he can see them coming. There's times when his right hand isn't telegraphed and is pretty straight, others it's wild and he sends a postcard when he's about to throw it. :hi:
why are you even bringing up the Gomez fight? Vitali battered the guy and stopped him easily. It was not even a fight. The same with Sanders who won the 1st round and that was it. None of this stuff you bring up even matters. At all. Breathing hard? The guy has PROVEN time and time again he can go all 12 rounds if he needs to throwing 60 + punches a round. Haye has not even been able to show this yet at Heavyweight because he throws so few punches a round. Telegraphed punches? Why can't they get out of the way? This whole post is basically meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

I saw the fight & I don't recall that happening. I could be wrong but realistically, that just doesn't happen often
