Chageav & Chambers both had no trouble fighting Wlad, so why can't Vitali fight them? Just because they've already been beaten by Wlad doesn't mean they are worse opponents than the likes of Sosnowski and Briggs. Chagaev and Chambers are still arguably top 6 heavyweights.

That's a ridiculous assertion. 'Left-overs'? So one defeat by his brother and Vitali can't fight them because they are left-overs? Chambers and Chagaev would still beat the **** out of Briggs or Sosnowski or Johnson, they are still arguably top 6 heavyweights. Wlad is at least trying to make a legacy for himself in a weak era, Vitali isn't.

Of course it can enhance his legacy. There's a reason why Wlad can be debated as a top 15 heavyweight of all-time and Vitali shouldn't even be getting in the top 20. Wlad's resumé is far better. If Vitali was to beat the likes of Haye, Povetkin, Solis, Chagaev, Chambers, maybe Adamek, he would probably be on the same level as his brother. Unfortunately he hasn't and never will.

You made me go google that condition... I'd never heard that, but it makes sense now. He was on a naturally high dose of HGH...

I wouldn't count out Vitali's steroid use, during his pro career that is, but I believe he had fair purposes for it. If he used, he likely did it to heal injuries and prevent the effects of aging during his layoff from boxing.

Maybe that assertion was a little strong, but my question is "would they do better? Could they beat Vitali?" I say no way. And I said from a numbers standpoint, it would do him good.

He should fight them, but to act like vitaly is ducking and dodging the "real" competition is simply untrue who have the klitchkos dodged?

they are the champs, its not the best heavyweight division ever but they are dominating it.

why cant anyone show them respect?

ohh I forgot, we have to wait 10 years after they retire before we can give them some respect......... thats the cost of not being an american heavyweights.

I think Vitali should fight Sugar Nikolay Valuev. There is no better way to prove one's greatness than to take on a true ring technician with the sweet moves of the Russian Giant..

Well remember some of Ali's opponents, Al "Blue" Lewis, Chuck Wepner, Alfredo Evangelista, Ruddi Lubbers, and Holmes had a 19-8 Mike Weaver who actually gave him a rough night and the best of his opponents were a 15 fight Witherspoon and a guy who only went 8rds Gerry Cooney...I don't think there are many fighters around that were not beaten by the brothers and I still think Briggs may beat Haye...there is Povetkin,Boystov and a few others but none of them are knocking on the Klitschko's door in all fairness, who is left to fight or ready...I think the brothers should fight but I can understand why they would not

Supposively, Vitali/Adamek is in talks for early next year. Don King's Solis will likely blast out Austin and be his mandatory. Haye will likely decline the 50/50 offer again.

Valuev is out with injury and could be facing retirement, Chageav is sitting on a mandatory with Haye..probably will be bought out though, and Chambers could be entering the IBF tournament.

Bummy you just broke your own rule... You're not supposed to mention Holmes name without bringing up that he didn't fight Page,Dokes,Coetzee,Tate,Thomas,Tubbs, and the Pope.

Chuck Wepner was rated no 8 when he challenged Ali for the title 1974. No 9 in 1975 .
Alfredo Evangelista was rated no 8 in 1977 when he challenged Ali for the title.
    No 7 in 1978.
    no 8 in 1979.

Rudi Lubbers was not rated, but it was not a title fight it was a" stay busy " ,fight for Ali .
3 weeks earlier, he had beaten Ken Norton who was rated no 3.
3 months later he beat Joe Frazier, rated no 2, Then he challenged Foreman for the title.
Al Lewis was not a title fight either. 3 weeks prior to this fight Ali had beaten Jerry Quarry and exactly 1 month earlier Chuvalo.

When was Briggs last in the top 10 ?

There is ABSOLUTELY NO COMPARISON , between Vitali's, and Ali's title defences.:nono

    Stick to the topic McVey,

Don't you know that the most important fact when addressing Bummy is that Holmes never faced Page,Dokes,Coetzee,Tubbs,Tate,Thomas or sister Mary Evans?

vitali is no ali, that is for certain. Im sure we can agree on that.

we are not currently in the best age of boxing, particularly for heavyweights, but why do people come down so hard on the klitchkos who have been dominating the division for so many years?

did either klitchko badmouth other greats of the past?
do theyclaim to be the best heavyweights in history?

why are they compared to ali when it is well known that he is one of the best heavies ever, who fought probably the best competition ever.

    seems unfair to me.
