How serious could I be when calling someone a lad, old chap? I'm a little mystified that this is in the Classic section though.

Don't talk like that to Suzie.

He's very proud of the fact that he posts in here, and regards the very fact of posting in the classic as proof of how 'classic' his posts are.

in fact, who are you to even post in the classic, alongside the likes of Suzie ?

He'll probably ask you pretty soon how long you've been in here and why.

How dare you question a 'classic' classic poster of this dude's insight and manifest boxing sagacity.

-I'm not going to be Bummy's lawyer, but I honestly believe he was just saying Champions don't always fight the very best as frequently as we would like them to. He wasn't even talking about rankings.

-Eh, Briggs was 6 years removed from the rankings when he KOed a top 5 alphabet Champion in Sergei. Such is the Cannon, never a top 10 regular, but always a punch away from an upset..and if he was willing to sign the contract than so be it. We don't know everything that goes on behind the scenes, but we do know several fighters pubically declined the fight. On that note, I'm not going to hold this one againt Vitali. He's staying busy and did what he needed to do on Saturday.

Haye has to change nappies every time he thinks about Vitali.

Povetkin has ducked Wlad for well over a year, claiming he's not ready yet.

will become his mandatory IF he wins his next bout.

Adamek just joined the ranks of the HWs and and only said the word KLITSCHKO for the first time a week ago. He will probably get his chance (by default) sometime next year.

Chagaev has had a serious injury for most of the last year and unavailable to fight anyone.

Chambers went after Wlad instead and scarcely distinguished himself there. I'm not sure if his head is up to fighting again just yet.

While styles make fights, we can discern something of how Adamek might do from comparing his performance against Arreola with Vitali's.

Same thing with Chambers vs Sam Peters.

    SNV ?

Not for the want of trying.

He doesn't appear to have much appetite for facing Vit.

    I'll try, Boggle.

Sagacity is not a place but rather a quality of the mind.

Since Suzie's mind probably resides in his brain, here is my impression of where sagacity might be found.

    Hope this helps.

Very glad to be of assistance.

Suzie will undoubtedly go down in the annals of the Classic forum.

And I am greatly looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this important topic.

In all fairness, Vitali did try to fight Haye and Valuev and you are correct Mongoose my point is I lived in many of the past era's and there were many weak defenses by even the best.

Wepner was horrible, I snored through a few of his fights. He was rated because Don King put him there, the guy had heart but could not punch a lick and bleed when he wiped his own brow. Briggs would pop his pimple. Ali ducked no man but every champ runs out of men to fight, except Larry Holmes

Kick peters ass then , Gomez smashed, Arreola was a good contender and was a good fight and VIT was pounding him. 3 Good fights. Then Johnson was a joke fight. It would of been good if VIT came out and blew him away in the first round like a champ should. Albert what ever I actually follow boxing pretty good and i didnt know him. Then Everybody gets pumped for Briggs to come out like a savage for the first 1-4 rounds and instead did **** all and was disgrace to boxing ( I dont care people say his got heart, **** that bum, Fighting for a world title and did jack **** ) Worst time about all of it is that there is better fighter out there and these slobs getting title shots. I would rather see holyfeild fight for a title that briggs, albert, SafetyPin, Gomez. At least Holy is in shape and will bang . Simple as that

LOL, Vitali would not lose a round, not need to foul with low blows as Marciano did vs. those guys. Never would he be put down by a light heavyweight either.

The truth is at age 39, Haye, and valuev avoid him. Solis said no thanks a while back, but might have to line up as a mandatory. Up next is Adamaek. Hopefully he is young enough and highly ranked for the critics, but make no mistake about it, Vitali could roll out of bed on any given day and easily defeat Adamek.
