"His views on the upcoming fight between Bernard Hopkins and Jean Pascal:

“I think it should be entertaining. It depends on which Bernard shows up. I think he still has it. He’s still crafty, but it could be an entertaining fight. It really could.”

On whether he thinks Hopkins has a good chance to beat Pascal:

“I think he has a good chance. He’s still crafty. Pascal’s a tough fighter, but I just think Hopkins might have a little bit too much experience. He’s been in there. It’s hard to tell. I really haven’t seen too much of Pascal. I mean I’ve seen one or two fights, but I don’t think he’s really that big of a threat."

I have to somehow agree with him from what I saw from Pascal, and I'm a Montrealer... He tiers in the end fight, and his footwork is far from good...
    Anyways... your opinions?

Pascal is underrated and especially in Montreal. You say his footwork is far from good yet it was his footwork that won him the fight against Dawson.

People think Dawson didn't throw punches because he didn't want to, but it's because Pascal used his footwork and didn't let Dawson get off.

He was awkwardly moving through the ring, and dawson couldn't adapt... Hopkins will not be as stiff on adapting

Well it was because he literally ran around the ring charged in for two semi flurries per round, and won rounds by default. Dawson didn't stalk him enough and didn't pressure him enough, but if they rematched I see Dawson winning handily, just my opinion.

Dawson DID throw punches. He threw and landed slightly more than Pascal.

I personnaly think Pascal has a much better chance of beating Hopkins in what might well be an ugly fight. Pavlik never stood a chance with his style.

Brother Naz will stop the fight in the late rounds with Hop on his stool, after Pascal puts a sustained beating on the old man from round one on.

    WAR PASCAL!!!

I'll be taking Pascal in this one, but will be rooting for Hopkins. I expect Pascal to get a close decision and Hopkins to claim he was robbed.

I agree completely. I'm a Dawson fan and I truly do believe that wasn't him that night in Canada but its his fault for not putting personal BS aside. A focused Dawson in a rematch wins handily.

I think the fight being in Canada will have an effect on Ol Hops. Hes never fought in another country much less in front of rowdy crowd like in Canada. Dont underestimate the effect that can have on a fighter. We dont know if Bernard travels well. I have a feeling he wont, because there will be nobody around there for him. Nobody in Montreal cares about Bernard legend status or his antics. They will only be there for Pascal.

nah man, that's not true. Everyone who follows boxing knows who Hopkins is. When Bute fought Joppy, they made a big deal about Joppy having faced Hopkins.

Hopkins seemed reluctant to face the jab of Dawson which is better than Taylors which we all know gave Hopkins big problems. Hopkins struggles against a dominant jab. Pascal doesn't have a great jab and IMO this is why Hopkins jumped at the chance to fight Pascal. I think Hopkins knew the Dawson jab would have been difficult to offset and overcome.
