Well the one thing we know about Willie is he's not going to die wondering what would have happend if he'd gone in full tilt and thrown the kitchen sink at it! It's probably going to be a question of will over skill and he could certainly take advantage of Martinez as he fades badly at the back end but Willie has to make sure his conditioning is spot on.

As for the 2 boys going off in the world boxing fair play to them. I hope they do well. I'm surprised it was given the all clear and that the boys are still eligible in the Olympics etc...
It's basically semi-professional boxing. It should be interesting though

Agreed! Casey seems to have quite good Conditioning and comes on in the later rounds so hopefully he can go for 12 this time!

i was thinking about this and if they do eventually go pro then theyll go in at 8 rounders against decent opposition because of the start they would of had with the wsb

No it is not a complete and utter duck at all. The Duddy fight can still happen without Peters involvement, if this fight were to happen in the US and Lee were to win, this would set him up for the big fights over there. The idea that Lee has to beat Duddy to get a crack at Macklin's EBU belt - the very title that Lee should have been in contention for after beating Belgecham - is a bit backwards imo. I reserve the term ducking for champions who wriggle their way out of risky fights (what was the deal with the Macklin - Pirog fight that was supposed to happen before Macklin gave up his Euro title the first time? ;)). I don't think Macklin will lose to his next opponent but you must admit his performances can be pretty hit and miss. I think I will wait to see what direction Lee's team go in before I accuse him of ducking.

Don't think they are out for another couple of days. I would guess the prices will be similar to the last fight- £55, £45, £35 and £30.

Especially since Lindsay is fighting around the same time in the Kings Hall

Sorry Big J I meant bookies pricing it up. I've had some luck in recent times betting so I think I'm going to give Carlos the green light, 10 out of 10, thumbs up (in other words Max Bet) for the next fight.

    :patsch haha apologies

Carlos will be looooooong odds on for it. Won't be many bookies pricing it up I would imagine. Suppose you will be interested in the KO market anyway- round betting or group round betting.

I predict the Jackal inside 6

It was reported in todays Newsletter that Rogie has been offered a fight on the Lindsay undercard in the Kings Hall in December.

probably makes more sense than the peters one to be fair. it will be on sky sports and he will sell a hat full of tickets for maloney (assuming lindsay doesnt sell it himself)

although if hes not fighting the highest level of opposition, would it be likely he could do both>?

I tell you what would really benefit Rogie is if he did a piece with BBC NI or UTV, preferably with his surgeon to explain fully his injury as among the casuals there is still ignorance on why he had to retire from his last fight with Sexton.

I have spoken to two separate casual fans who go to the fights and they initially told me that they wouldnt go back to watch Rogie after the last fight. It turned out that they were not aware of the full circumstances of his injury. I wonder how many more are like that?

A piece in mainstream media with Rogie showing the scars of his operation and preferably with the surgeon provide his scientific opinion on the injury would do wonders.:good
