Damn he made boxing exciting during his run. He took on the best guys in teach division and he made it exciting! :rasta
Yes...Winky Wright beat Tito up near the end of his career. And? That somehow invalidates the OP missing the prime Tito?
I didnt like him when he was active, but I miss him now that hes gone. In this day and age, its nice to look back at guys like Tito, Vargas, and Hoya.... guys who went after the best time in and time out.
I was about to ask why you didn't like him when he was active...but, He did make a habit for a while there out of beating some of your favorites. Hell, he made a habit out of beating everyone who was anyone (except Hopkins) over a ten year period. It's a really nice resume.
Also one of my favorites. I think about Tito vs Vargas fairly often. Classic fight. Not the best fight I've ever seen, but probably my favorite
Oh **** yes. I loved getting ready for a big Tito fight. The "Tito! Tito! Tito!" chant was just electrifying. Just when you thought he would struggle he'd land that big left hook and it was just thing of beauty. Wish he had won more fights but at least he kept challenging himself.
90's/2000's in general was a great time. (Nobody thought it would be what the 80's was & we got a treat)
