Pavlik must've had a good laugh at those two ******s interviewing him after he put down the phone, what a couple of ****ing amateurs.
Pavlik KO's Williams if they ever fight BTW.

Im surprised he did not mention the cut, not that I think that is why he lost, but I reckon it played a part, they were reaching a point in that fight where Pavlik had adapted and Martinez needed to make a decision whether he wanted go the distance, or take the chance to win, to do that he need to put more punches together, cause his singles were being countered, no doubt the sight of blooded aided his decision to do that, but Pavlik could not counter the combination's, only the singles, infact the reason I thought Martinez lost to Williams, is cause he did not do enough to repel Williams aggression, only this fight he held his feet more, stood his ground when he had to.

They all say that. Same thing with Floyd. Crafty defensive counterpunchers have a way of making fighters say things like, "I just couldn't get my punches off", "I wasn't myself", "I felt good going into the fight, something just wasn't right when I got in there", etc.. There are SO many examples of this for Hopkins.

The cuts were a symptom of the under lying problem, which was the weight. In the last few days leading up to the fight they got desperate, and took the weight off by starving him, dehydrating him, and stuffing him with suppositories. Believe it or not they did this under the direction of Sid Brumback, the cut man, who is also an MD.

Kelly was still 165 pounds on the morning of the weigh in. He ran several miles, sat in the sauna, used suppositories, et. Afterward, at the insistence of Brumback, they rehydrated KP interveneously under Brumback's supervision, and they over did it. Thus the rapid weight gain to 178 pounds. KP was mentally and physically ****ed before the fight ever started.

Brumback's fee was supposed to be $10 grand. Cameron Dunkin gave him $5 grand, and a hardy **** off.

kelly mentioned only going back to 160 if its at the recomendation of and under the supervision of a top shelf nutritionist...one who works with fighters.

jsmips, have any of the guys considered mackie? i know they have one or had one...but the way kelly phrased it, it sounded like that wasnt the one they were sticking with. i say this b/c i was under the impression that the martinez nutritionist was a she doctor and kelly said "a guy who works w/ fighters"

DB, not sure if they narrowed down who they will go with? I'm certain they will explore all options and go with the one who has the best experience with fighters.

The last time I talked to Kelly, it really didn't matter. He's willing to fight anybody. Cameron, Top Rank, and his Dad will work on what's next. Right now, he's focused on Vera.

I'm sure there will be several factors that come into play besides the opponent. i.e. HBO, money...

Sturms name has been thrown out, regardless of whether the fight is here or in Germany. I'm sure weight is also going to be a deciding factor and how comfortable it is for Kelly to get to 160.

Its good that he has been watching his past fights and trying to work on things he can improve but I still cant see him being on top again, Bute is going to wipe the floor with him. I think the williams fight would be great because its a fight he can win.

No one can convince Brian Vera that he is a journeyman. He will bring everything he can muster to this fight. He is not a guy one should take lightly. Just like you can't polish a turd, you can't hype this fight, but it would be very foolish for KP, or anyone else, to expect a walk down primrose lane.

This fight is just another example of how uncertain team pavlik is with them selves.

Pavlik, just a few years ago was considered ak top p4p guy and now he has resorted to fighting opponents who were on the contender! smfh!!

Right now Arum is cashing his last checks with KP!!!!

This is a very odd forum. Is it normal for people to ignore the thread topic, and then post comments that are not relevant to the subject at hand?
