Not that much as he tried to fought back when he really needed to survive there. He didn't stop coming forward and getting tagged by sanders again and again. Thats what happens when guy has virtually no defense getting in trouble against power puncher.

I got into boxing after this happened and never had seen this fight until now. Wlad is SO much more refined than this now - it's incredible.

I think Wlad used to panick in fights, his chin probably isn't that bad (not saying its good either!) just haven't really seen it tested since he learnt to control fights and protect it... Sanders was a big puncher and if you get tagged repeatedly you go down. Wlad's never been clean knocked out, which leads me to believe average chin/bad balance combination.

 

Does anyone think Haye can pull that off against Wlad?

Obviously we would need him to actually step in the ring with him first.
