If Merchant had his way he'd have Ward Gatti 24/7 ! **** his opinion !! Its ironic how much his word is respected yet the man never laced up a pair of gloves in life !

Produce a source where Merchant is heard to say Jones fought "sanitation workers". To suggest the haters got their ammo exclusively from Merchant is to be stupid. You know this.

This is what Merchant asked Floyd Mayweather, word for word...

"You've often talked about Boxing as entertainment, you come to the ring dressed like a gladiator, but do you think was particularly entertaining? We had people booing, people were leaving at the end of the 10th and 11th round, and since you brought it up, I want your response?"

Again, tell me how that's disrespectful? Where did he ask Floyd why he was boring? Let me guess, this is just your interpretation? You'd have preferred for Merchant to drop down to his knees and start gargling on Floyd's balls for shutting out Carlos Baldomir in a lackluster fight? The fight was ****ing terrible, the crowd knew it, Floyd knew it, and Merchant knew it.

 

Before the fight started Manny, Lampley and Merchant were saying Floyd had never fought anyone like BAldomir before. Before the fight Floyd was accused of duckign Hatton, and Baldomir in favor of Judah.

Floyd puts in a dominating performance against the lineal welterweight titlest, a fight that only became poor after Floyd broke his hand and Merchant instead harps on how bad a peformance it was, to a guy who just dominated the welterweight world champion.

He doesnt understand boxing.



Now fast forward to 4 years later, Floyd has just walked down Mosley tried to bring the fight to Mosley a bigger fighter then Floyd and again all Merchant can be is negative.

Its just in his nature.

 

Merchant is always right.

He did the same thing to Hopkins after his "fight" with Morade Hakkar.

Agree, I think that most of the boxers have a great deal of respect for Larry, and after would's think about what he had said and being put on the spot and are forced to think about what was said.

Larry is one of the best along with Al for me.

 

if Roy had a different promoter than shitty slyball ****** Murad Mohammed, Roy would have got better fights.
