That is an idiotic thread title that shows you are more interested in hating and trolling than having a serious discussion. (And by the way, my anti Calzaghe sentiments are well documented.)

I meant "better fighter" of the two, but yeah, that wasn't clear. I think Calzaghe would always have had Hopkins' number because of his very awkward style.

That said, even though Hopkins probably should be rated as the all-round better fighter, I don't think there is that much between them. It's just a shame Calzaghe didn't prove it. He underachiever greatly.

No, Calzaghe didn't have Hopkins' number but a prime Roy Jones has a big case for that. Calzaghe looked bad because many punches he threw weren't effective as Hopkins' few hard punches were. People complain about the holding but some do it effectively in many ways like Sweet Pea against DLH. He would hold Oscar then attack him off of the clinch.

The more interesting question is if the OP posts one more thread will he officially be the stupidest poster on ESB.

No, it shows that Hopkins was so good in his prime, that he still was able to beat good fighters at an old age. He is really far past-it now and wasn't much better in 2008.

Hopkins is already far greater, there's no need for him to win this to confirm anything to anyone especially regarding this stupid thread.
