Wow I honestly didn't think people would get excited over this fight..

    1) Monte has retired with a fine performance in his last fight. He was robbed and people knew he had won it.

    2) Tua looked abysmal against Monte and tbfh he can only do better this time around. I know he's shot and old and even more shot but damn..

    3) Monte is not hoping for a comeback worthy of a title shot.. He's only looking for a quick payday, and he knows he can get it because of comment like this:
Tua on the other hand is still hoping to land a shot against K2 and therefore has to remove the blemish that Monte put on his record by getting revenge and winning impressively.

Seriously, I admit I liked their first fight, but I'm telling you.. there's noway this fight is going to be remotely good in anyway.. I liked to watch pre Lewis Tua and I still respect the mans wish to earn his right for a title shot. I never really enjoyed to watch Barrett, but I had alot of respect for him ending his career on high notes.. I do NOT however respect this money motivated comeback.:bart

Having said that. I think this will be a one sided fight where Tua tries to force the KO early.. If Monte survives the first 3 rounds, Tua will gas out and only get a UD.

    KO 1-3 or UD12 (118-110)

I hope Barrett KOs Tua and then gets himself in line for a title shot. Two Gunz certainly deserves the pay day. Few have showed the heart and guts like Two Gunz has!

If they both win in December it looks like they will have a rematch next year. So, Tua will have spent nearly a year of his comeback tangled with a near shot Monte Barrett. Probably not the path Tua and his team had in mind when they started out.

yeah carried injured shoulder into the fight but my understanding is it is repaired and Tua is ready to go. Would like to see Lee Parore conditioning him though

Me too. But Lee Parore hasn't been with him since the Cameron fight.

Yeah I know I think Parore had him peaked at exactly the right time for the fight. Looked a tad overtrained for Ahunanya, a bit heavyfooted compared to the fight with Shane and obviously the shoulder injury played a bit of a role but his timing seemed off against Barrett too.

Parore has a holistic approach to fitness that i think worked well for Tua. Fit from the inside out not just for aesthetics

 This right here pretty much sums it up. Tua's comeback was derailed for good. Tua is not a threat to the top fighters.

Tua injured his shoulder throwing tractor tires around two weeks out from the Barrett fight. Lee Parore would never have him doing that. Tua needs Parore as much as he needs Bloodworth. Tua was primed leading up to the Cameron fight.

He said it before Tua fight when most predicted him to lose quickly, and I am not surprised he changed his mind after judges robbed him from deserved win.

I've kinda lost track as to what's going on with Tua - is he still in the MTV contract? was he injured in the Monte fight? is the knockdown a sign of his punch resistance going?

My heart will break if he lands a shot at one of hte K bros and ends up getting stopped - we'd never hear the end of it from the Klithuggers about how they were the first to stop Tua. Ugh.

Shame cause Tua looked liked he was gonna start a nice run with the Cameron win.
