If Hopkins beats Pascal, will you rank him higher than Roy and Floyd?

Pascal is nothing to brag about, a one dimensional carl froch beat him. But styles make fights and pascal style is tailor made for someone like hopkins. The question is does hopkins have any oxygen left in the tank.

Beating Pascal will prove that Hopkins can still compete at the highest level, but let's not pretend that Pascal is this unbeatable enigma. Sure he had a great victory against Dawson but it would also be nice to see a rematch, similar to when Quintana gave Williams his rematch to truly gauge how special this man's talent and skill really is.

It's to early to say how great a victory it would be until Pacal career progresses.

:huh He lost his belts to Taylor, then tried to regain them but failed, and has never challenged another title-holder since. What part of that is difficult for you to grasp???

And as for your second comment: what kind of ****ing idiot are you??? A 46 year old man beating the 27 year old number 1 lightheavyweight in the world would not be one of the most remarkable wins??? Sober up you drunken ****wit. When was the last time a 46 year old achieved such a thing? 1994, but even then Michael Moorer was not the number 1 heavyweight in the world.

You tell me when the last time was that a 46 year old man beat the number 1 fighter in his division. Well? I'm waiting, moron. :smoke

    I didnt see it

    1. Tsyzu was with showtime floyd was with HBO.

    2. When Floyd moved up to Welter, Paul Williams was not a factor. Margarito was offered a date on the Zab Judah card, turned it down. Then Mayweather was going to fight Margarito if Arum could secure him a date with Oscar, didnt happen. Mosley was offered fights with Mayweather dating all the way back to Mayweathers lightweight days, turned them down, including a fight in 06 claiming a toothache. Arum turned down a mayweather vs cotto fight when Mayweather was at 140. Dont know why he never fought him at welter I can only surmise he realized after awhile like I did Cotto wasnt that good.

    3. Tuneup fight, plus it was a guy Pacquiao struggled with. Made sense when Mayweather signed the contract to fight Pacquiao.

    4. There is n proof Pacquiao agreed to any of Floyds demands. It was Floyd who signed the first contract which Pac and his team tore up because they didnt wanna take the tests.

    5. Floyds resume is far superior to BHops, he's accomplished more as a fighter and prime for prime he is the better fighter.

 What a troll. You have a list of excuses for Floyd as long as your arm, yet B-Hop at 46 years of age is a cherrypicker for hunting a fight with the world's number 1 light-heavyweight.

    You have no credibility whatsoever.

Froch is not one dimensional. To be honest, he's one of the top boxers in the sport.

The problem with Froch is he can be clumsy at times, and when he's on the inside, he needs to shorten up his punches.

But his overall style and technique are good, along with his intangibles.

However, I am surprised he beat Pascal. Pascal looked great against Dawson, and I would have a lot of trouble favoring Froch over that version of Pascal.

I already rate Hopkins ahead of Mayweather, so when he wins against Pascal he will be even further away. Even when Hopkins wins against Pascal he won't rank higher than Jones.

higher than PBF in accomplishments, not talent. Still below RJJ in both. That HW title carries a **** of a lot of weight with me.

    This.

But no one here can separate their hatred of Floyd enough to objectively reason. For godssake, we see echols listed as a great resume padding victory on here. Then along the same lines Floyds win over NDou must be amazing. Hakkar, Robert Allen THREE TIMES, Carl Daniels. He ruled a much weaker division than Floyd did and in no way tested himself at the higher divisions like Floyd did, instead running his mouth calling out Toney and Roy in his prime but electing instead to wait for a DLH that was ineffectual at 160.

Hopkins gets more passes than any other fighter on this board.
