Every challenger signs a contract. Doesn't mean anyone owns them.

If you want to be top dog, calling the shots, you have to start from lower down.

According to Warren, the purse split would be 50-50 for rematches with the Klitschkos in the Chisara fight. Hard to see how they would offer Haye any less.

In this case, like what ? the Klitschkos are the biggest $$$ HWs for the forseeable future.

Three, four, five (and more) fight contracts are the norm rather than the exception with most promoters. You know this.

Ever heard of Sauerland, Don King, Bob Arum ?

Like I said, most prospects would leap at such 'enslavement.'

Regardless of which brother is fighting the other is always right there in the staredown before the opening bell - same principal. It's a massive task fighting just one but the thought of having to rematch and then fight VITLAY is even more onerous. I odn't agree with that format, but it is wha it is.

The 50/50 rematch clause is actually another Klit advantage as Klit would then be the challenger making as much as the Champ...This has me curious since the Klits are fight promoters too, which I assume is separate from the each fighters purse, I would be interested to see what sort of 'promotional' money the Klits received on top of 50/50...

I've liked the Klits but this is bull****...This completely changes my opinion on Haye...And the Klits...

Hayes excuse is your talking **** - no such deal was ever offered. David has said the same thing everytime, he will fight ether of them, but will not do it with the silly options they keep putting in the contract.

anyone who knows **** about boxing knows the K's have been doing this for some time (its one of the benefits of being your own promoter k2), Monté Barret said the same thing about the klitchkos, his options were also crazy.

Predictably, some of the more blinkered Klit fans are ignoring the issue.......why a guy like Chisora is offered **** money and a cowardly 3-fight contract........and trying to turn the argument into a Haye-t fest.

Derek Chisora is a nobody being plucked from obscurity to fight THE heavyweight champion, he did not earn this shot but was given it because all the half decent challengers are runing scared. If he has a problem with the rematches he should **** off back to the York Hall where he belongs to fight the Sam Sextons of the world, if he's ok with it, which he seems to be since he signed the contract, he should stfu.

    Why should he stfu?

So that we don't get to learn about the Klit Bros. cowardly contracts?

There's nothing cowardly about it, it's good business sense, something most Haye fans should appreciate. He should stfu because he's lucky to even be in the position to fight one of the brothers, nevermind both.

Says who? If Chisora wants a straight shot a Wlad's title with no strings attached he can work his way into the mandatory position.

Just because it's 'good business sense', doesn't mean it's not a cowardly contract. If you look at the facts, it is.

Why was he not supposed to talk about it?

The Klits have been pulling this stuff for years.
