Margarito straw man...

Did you see Margarito in the corner straight after his knockdown? It took him about 30 seconds to realise where he was and that his corner where going to stop the fight. He was hurt and hurt badly. The upcoming round, he was backing up all the way. When do you see Margarito do that? Mosley hurt him and hurt him like no one has ever done in his life I'm guessing.

it's not even equal. cotto fought a confident margarito with a possible plaster. shane fought margarito that is possibly thinking of the repercussions of his actions that night. a great win by mosley but not the same margarito the night of the cotto fight in possibly 2 different ways.

am i taking a great win from mosley? a little bit but was still a great win. did they fought the same margarito, confidence and focus-wise?, no. but shane did his part and stopped what is in front of him that night while cotto lost.

more like a stoppage by the ref for not answering back. he was still conscious and his chin held-up. it is consistent with my assessment that during the fight, he was not focus. there's more to this fight than we think that mosley always has margo's number. the incident certainly affected him that night.

 

Shane whooped Margo's ass. But that doesn't mean Margo is not a good fighter. Also, Shane would beat Margo either way, but it seems like Margo is gonna be alot better trained for the Pacquiao fight than he was for the Mosley fight.

 

roach knew pac could beat margo. the same way he wants floyd coz he knew pac can also beat floyd. roach is an intelligent coach and sometimes too vocal about it that he is actually downgrading pac's achievement in hindsight.

possibly. i really feel that margo was not on his right mental state that night.

it's also possible that he has wraps against cotto thus having the confidence for the cotto fight.

No its not possible. You're just being biased. Go watch the fight. Margarito couldnt even hit Mosley. Mosley would see his punches coming block em with his arms and then smack him around. Margarito could have brought a sledge hammer into the ring and Mosley would have whipped his ass.
