118-111 Nishioka. Great effort from Munroe, I think he'd definitely beat Molitor and give Vasquez jr a tough fight but Nishioka was just too good.

Do you not remember him getting shook in the 5th, just after his best round? It was hardly him going off plan, more like his opponent forcing him to.

My heart was really sinking during those flurries from Nishioka. So glad that Rendall managed to last the twelve rounds. Both fighters were all class. Well done Rendall, you can certainly win a version of the world title after this.

I was saying the same thing as you earlier in the fight, Monroe should close the distance etc, but it is not as easy to convert those normal tactics against world class fighters. Nish proved to be just as proficient on the backfoot as the front foot. He was just an overall better technical fighter with more power too.

Thought Rendall was gonna go in the last couple. Glad he made the bell. I thought the scores were a little wide but the right man won. Hope we see him against the likes of Molitor in a few fights time.

Fair play Rendall! Done us proud!

Great performance from Nishioka, never realised he had quite that much in him personally. Great determination and heart from Munroe though and he certainly deserves to still be ranked in and around the top 7 or 8 in the division. Rendall's time can definitely come and he deserves a big homecoming now.

Nishioka was very impressive munroe came out quick and determined but the champ picked his body shots very well and moved on the back foot well.Munroe can still win a title against molitor or Ryol Li Lee

    Another top-notch commentary.

    - Amazing that the champion lasted the distance after he was breathing so heavy after the first round.

    - Nishioka's "nearest and dearest" apparently looking a bit worried around the ninth.

    - Jim's strange 10-10 score for the fifth, a round in which Nishioka badly wobbled Munroe and basically dominated.

Good fight though. Munroe can hold his head high, he gave it a good shot and took a hell of a lot of damage. Nishioka was always a step ahead and delivering the cleaner and more hurtful work. Think Munroe would stand a better than average chance against Molitor.

Lee only won not long ago and Munroe won a WBC eliminator.
