Buchanan v Camacho Sr. @ 135

I'd go with Camacho at his best, too quick

 

Buchanan. That jab and resiliency. He was also better from a technical perspective and had far superior upper-body movement. Camacho, for being as quick as he was, had very static upper-body movement most of the time. His super fast feet allowed for great control of range, though. I just don't think he's hanging with Buchanan in the jabbing department.

 

You kind of crossed me up there. Do you think most people would pick Camacho decisively?
I think Buchanan would be too much for him. Buchanan was better than Rosario in just about every category except for punching power and look at the hell he gave Camacho. Buchanan's jab, craft, and toughness would give Camacho problems. I think he could force Camacho to fight at a pace that he wouldn't like. Camacho usually dictated pace, but when he couldn't, like against Chavez and Trinidad, he was in for a long night. Buchanan's speed of foot, although maybe not equal to Camacho, would force Camacho to fight. Advantage Buchanan.

 

Buchanan would take it..the physical attributes would almost cancel each othe out...but Buchanan had an edge to his style that Camacho lacked...

 

Somehow I doubt it. Buchanan does quite well for himself in fantasy matchups.

 

Durantards are going to flood this thread and choose the very overrated Buchanan to win as always.

 

I'd take Camacho, the pre-Rosario version. Buchanana was a very good fighter, but I think he is a bit overrated having beneifited off beating past primmed versions of Laguna, and a totally shot Ortiz.

 

if anything king ken is under rated.only the very best would beat him and camacho isn't one of those.

 

Did I read very recently you said you've never seen Camacho-Rosario? It's an important fight in evaluating Camacho at 135.

 

He's seen that green W to Camacho in boxrec and that's all that counts

 

Camacho by unquestionable UD. He's just too damn fast.

 

Buchanan had that left hand that would cause anyone trouble, he had the movement and he had the timing to tough out a decision against all but the elite at that weight.

Camacho ain't that.
