Translation: I've got self loathing issues so I'm going to start a Joe Calzaghe argument on the internet to garner attention and most likely start spanking it like a rabid ****** as the insults fly in my direction.

Roy moved up to LHW to avoid the fighters at SMW. At LHW he only had Michalczewski & Erdei to avoid but at SMW there were many fighters who would have beaten him, besides Calzaghe who would have ruined Jones and who Jones avoided there was N Benn, C Eubank & S Collins, who Jones wouldnt go near, even though Collins had some losses to fighters Jones had beaten, but at different stages of their careers which gives the answer to that. Kessler, McClellen and possibly Sven Ottke who had a decorated amateur career beating Erdei and Tarver who had Jones number.

    Hope this helps

so what u are telling me Kessler who Ward made look like a fool would beat RJ. kessler would have not made it to 7rds

bens come forward style would have got that ass taxed before 6.
chris eubank would have took a beating for 12rds.
steve colins was so easy to hit he would have been stopped late possibly 10
mcclellen would have been took to school for the 12rds

tarver never had jones number it was the weight that had RJs number

Easy to say, Sad Roy didn't tho. :good
(History repeats itself, Check the various Floyd threads amazing parallels)

    & didn't Tarver go 2/3 Vs. Jones?

I don't think Roy would have beaten Mcclellan.

most of roys oppenents tryed to stay on top of RJJ but the first left hook RJ lands they dont want to know.
people for get just how hard RJ used to hit. the punches RJ was landing on joe in that fight if it were back in his haye day joe would have been down more then once.
people just see clips off RJJ on youtube u guys need to set down and watch the look on his oppenents face when they feel rjj power and taste his speed

I have watched Jones Jr. since his robbery @ the OLY.
I stick to my opinion, That had he stayed at 168lbs, That NO he would not still be a champ.

His style ain't for an older fighter like say B-Hop's style.
Jones defo had "pop" early on no doubt, But against those elite 160/168lbs he didn't get in the ring with it's not enough to say he blasts them out, IMO.

I think if he had stayed at LHW that he would not have been knocked off the throne for at least a couple more years. I mean, he didn't lose (other than the DQ) until he was what, 35? I think a 32 year old Jones would have smoked Tarver. I know a lot of people don't like crediting the downfall to Jones to his increase then decrease in weight, but after seeing the fights leading up to the Ruiz fight than seeing the Tarver fights, Jones went from being the best to being passed his prime. Not to take credit away from Tarver, but it wasn't the same RJJ. I'm not sure if a majority of people find his decision to move up to HW bold or how many people think he cherry picked once again, but I think taking on that challenge was a bigger challenge than many fighters today attempt to tale.

EDIT: To answer your question though, there's no way a 41 y.o RJJ would be on top.
