Andre Berto's Trainer On Pac's Tremendous Success At The Higher Weight Classes

I'm not shocked he'd say this, dude is a **** trainer. There is a reason why Berto shows little improvement and will never be an A level fighter despite having the physical skills.

The FACT is that Robinson ate jabs from slow brawlers and punched from his waist and/or wound up punches and also used a "feeler/measure" jab at times that wasn't even fully extended. Doing that in boxing today as a Boxer Puncher would get you touched. At the time he was boxing? It was sufficient. At the same time we have to wonder if his speed could be properly understood due to film technology (frame speed) of the time.

Nobody is saying he wasn't an amazing athlete. Nobody is saying that if schooled in current boxing he would not be everything he was then and more. The only thing said is that with his skills as they were then? He would have a hard road to hoe against top WW's of today. And yes, Mayweather is a smallish WW so prime Mayweather would NOT be a WW.
