I don't think he knew.. No one else did, and they were right there watching the hands being wrapped. Nazim didn't see them either, he was complaining about tape on the skin of the wrist, so that's when they had to re-wrap the hand, and in the process of taking off the wrap, the old knuckle pad fell out. And he Margo said he did t get a chance to punch with the wraps or he might if noticed, he doesn't mean in the fight, all fighters do pad work to warm up. This is what he was referring to when he didn't get a chance to punch.
